I didn't know what to say anymore. Numbness injected me and spread to every inch of my body. Even sealing my lips.

"I need you to keep to yourselves and get prepared. Only mention to your friends that you are moving due to your father's new job. We are going to live at my parents' cottage near to your new school, Hogwarts."

"Hogwarts? You sure that's a school and not a farm?" I hissed.

"It's meant to be lovely. Loads of students transfer there all the time, it won't look suspicious if we do" Emmeline said.

"What if people already know about Father?" I explained.

"I don't believe it's gotten out yet. When it does... just be prepared" Emmeline replied.

"It's only the next two months we have to survive. Then we'll be out of here and far away," Juliette said.

"Hopefully, no one at Hogwarts will find out."

As my sisters talked amongst themselves, I stared at my mother's face. She looked exhausted. I gave her a weak smile as her teary eyes met mine. She didn't return one.

"I will see you soon. Take care of yourselves."

"Maman?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"Where are you staying? You're not still living with Papa are you?"

"No, your aunt has taken me in. We're moving all your belongings to hers and then we'll move with her to England."

"Okay," I whispered.

"It won't be long until we are free from this wretched situation. It'll all be fine" She smiled weakly.

I was the first to leave. As soon as I opened the door to Giselle, I flung my arms around her. I was sobbing hysterically into her shoulder.

We didn't talk for a while. We just stood there hugging. Then I backed away and mopped my eyes.

"What's wrong?" she whispered soothingly.

I looked around suspiciously, there was no one but just to be on the safe side I whispered "Not here."

I dragged her by the hand up to my dorm room and slammed the door. Luckily, everyone else was in class.

I began pacing the room, reciting to her everything that had happened. It was as if all the poison in my body was being choked up with the words of vomit. My mother told us not to say anything to anyone. Giselle wasn't just anyone though. I couldn't stop myself from telling her, I needed her.

I was so grateful that she just listened and didn't ask any questions.

When I had finally finished my rant, she stared open-mouthed at me.

"You're leaving" She whispered.

A tear rolled down her cheek. This was the first time I had seen her cry and I wished it was my last. I felt a horrible stabbing pain in my heart. We hugged again in comfortable silence.

"We're missing divination you know" I laughed through my sniffles.

"Who cares about divination?" She giggled.

It was a hazy dream of pain and comfort. In the end, the bell sounded and ripped it up into pieces.

"We will have to make the most of the time we have" Giselle spoke suddenly and determinedly.
