Chapter ten

I feel like my love life is basically lumity except switched. So I'm Luz ( because I bi) and she's amity( because she lesbian)except I'm the hopeless one with the crush and I can barely make a proper sentence around her and she's the obvious one ( no offense to her). Anyway that was random

The last few weeks of school passed by pretty fast and before they knew it it was summer.
Luz still couldn't turn into the owl beast Eda keeps telling her it's a good thing but it makes late night adventures kinda hard.

Okay so what are we going to do this summer
Willow asks as the four friends sit around in luzs treehouse which has now become a normal hangout spot for them.
Well my parents are making me study for most of each day
Amity commented

Then we'll sneak you out or you can pretend your going to a study group
Luz replied

Why are your parents making you study over the summer
Gus asked

Because they don't think burn out is a thing
Amity joked

The four continued to talk and laugh until the sun went down
Then they all started walk home willow and Gus went one way while Luz walked with amity the other way

I don't get why you always walk me home
Amity said

I want to make sure you get home safely

Ya but then you just have to turn around and walk all the way back doesn't eda get mad when you get back late

Not really she always tells me as long as no one gets hurt or dies then it's fine

Wow

Once they reached the manner the two girls said goodbye and Luz continued home.

Luz made it home fine like usual except eda wasn't there this time. She had taken king and left early that morning and wasn't planning to back for a few days.
Things went fine that night nothing got broken and Luz ended up going to bed around midnight. Usually she would go visit amity but it made it hard without the owl beast so they had kinda given up on that.
Unfortunately the problem started the next morning when Luz heard a knock at the door at 7 in the morning.
She went to answer it until she saw Lilith standing in the living room.

Eda left a ten year old in charge of her home
She said giving Luz a strange look

Luz was kind of offended she was almost sixteen and she was way more powerful then Lilith knew.
Luz just glared at the older witch

Well where is eda anyway

I don't know she didn't tell me
Luz lied

Lilith glared at the girl

It took Luz an hour of being painfully annoying to get Lilith to leave. Once she was gone Luz went upstairs to get ready
She grabbed her clothes and walked into the bathroom but as soon as she saw herself she dropped everything.
She had feathers sticking out of her arms and face which was usually a normal sight but it had been so long that she wasn't expecting it.
She also noticed the section of hair near her face had turned gray the rest of her hair was the normal purple brown color.
Luz simply sighed and continued getting ready there wasn't much she could do about her hair until eda got back so she would have to deal with it for now.
Once she was dressed she left to go meet up with her friends. Near the end of the path Luz felt a hand hit her shoulder and she jumped feathers appeared on her arms and in her hair. Luz whipped around to see amity

Sorry I didn't mean to scare you
Amity apologized

Luz let oh a sigh of relief before brushing in feathers out of her hair.

Wow your feathers are back does this mean your curse is back
Amity continued

Umm I'm not sure bu-
Luz was cut off by amity gripping the gray bit of hair

Amity?

It's kinda cute

Luz wasn't sure how to respond she only thought of the change as a problem but maybe it was okay.

The two witches then went to go meet up with willow and Gus at the library
The four spent the day together just doing random crap and willow and Gus never mentioned luzs hair. Later after Luz walked everyone home she decided to try and transform. She ran into a deep part of the woods and tried to turn into the owl beast.

Amity sat in her room as her mother yelled at her for being late home.

Your grounded for a week you'll stay here and study. You'll only be aloud out for meals.
Her mother yelled before slamming the door shut making amity flitch.

Amity let out a sigh before she felt the cold wind hit her skin. She shivered a bit before turning to the window.

I thought I closed this
She said to herself walking over before closing it she saw something flying a ways away. She shrugged it off and closed the window. The day slowly past by as amity sat at her desk with her azura book. Once it got dark amity started hearing noises outside her window. It got kinda annoying so she walked over to it and threw the window open. She looked around but she didn't see anything
Just then a dark figure popped out from under the window scaring amity. Her reflexes kicked in and she punched the figure in the nose as hard as she could and then backed up. The figure crawled up onto the windowsill then got smaller

Ow what the hell

Luz? Oh my gosh I'm so sorry

It's fine I guess I kinda deserve it
Luz climbed of the sill holding her hand over her nose. Amity quickly grabbed a tissue and gave it to Luz.

What are you doing here
Amity asked siting down on her bed

I wanted to show you that my owl beast form is back
Luz replied sitting down next to her
And I heard you go grounded

How did you-

Willow told me

Oh

The girls talked for a while until amity heard a knock on her door

Amity mom says it's time for dinner
Edric said from the other side

I better go I'll sneak you out tomorrow
Luz said

What no don't-

To bad see you later
Luz quickly transformed and flew away before amity could reply
