Strong arms

Catch me in a forest fire and watch as I grow while the world around me burns

Throw me into a boxing ring and watch me as I stain every molecular particle of you purple without moving

Shoot me
Hunt me
Tear me down
Build me
Love me
Wish to return the frown

But my bones are an inexperienced birds nest
And they hold me up
And despite the mess they make
Or how they allow to me sprawl across every page and leave bits and pieces of myself in every place and thought space I run into
They've brought me this far

And my head is a used torn pair of jeans
And it's kept me shielded
And despite all its torn seems with scraped knees to honor and threads being plucked at the disposal of curiosity or boredom
They've brought me this far

But these arms are travesties that outweigh the sun
And they've kept me balanced at my sides
And despite the scattered way they fall and break everything in sight and how they tend to drop the most valuable things with ease and turn to dust when I'm in most need of working wings
They've brought me this far

So drop me in the middle of world war three and watch as I take out every grand catastrophic part of myself
And watch how soon enough
the world
with their guns and strong arms
will one day be weak when compared to me
