Chapter Thirty-Two

WHO IS SHE?

In a cold and shabby apartment, there who live a woman who's holding a single photo on her hand while sipping a cup of tea. Her eyes were burning in so much rage as a cold smile crept on her lips.

"I'm gonna kill you. Just wait and see."

"What's with the mess, Gianne? Kanina ka pa may hinahalughog diyan sa bag mo."

Pero hindi sinagot ni Gianne ang naging tanong ni Margrette na kakapasok lang din sa loob. Instead he just kept on looking for that certain thing in his bag. Kent's eyes squinted as he gawked at Gianne's problematic expression. Kanina pa ito ugagang nagkakalkal sa bag nito.

"Did you lost something, Dude?"

Hero asked as he scratched the bridge of his nose. That's the moment Gianne raised his head towards his friends and gave them a tight nod. "May nakita ba kayong lumapit sa upuan ko nung nagpunta ako sa CR kanina?"

Margrette shook her head. "Wala naman akong nakita. Ano ba kasi ang nawawala sayo? I-report na lang natin sa 'lost and found' ng school campus. Baka nahulog mo lang sa daan ng 'di namamalayan."

Gianne let out a heavy sigh before he slowly nodded. Yun ang naabutan ni Angel Ann pagkapasok niya sa loob ng silid nila. Umalis lang siya saglit para may bilhin sa labas tapos pagbalik niya ang mukha ng mga kaibigan na parang binabagabag ng kung ano ang maabutan niya.

"What's with the long faces, guys? May problema ba?"

Joville walked towards his girlfriends and handed her, her backpack. Margrette was the one who answered Angel Ann's question. "He lost something, Gel."

Angel Ann's forehead creased after hearing it before she gawked at Gianne. "What did you lost ba? Maybe I can help on looking for it."

Gianne was hesitant to say what he did lost but he has no choice. The thing he just lost is very important. He sighed and massaged his head before dropping the bomb. "I lost a journal which is somehow looks like a book. Naka book bine siya at medyo luma na rin kung tignan."

"Ha? Anong name ng book na yan? Baka may makita tayong nagbebenta sa book store o di kaya sa online shop---

"That book is one of a kind, Margrette. It's important to me. I need to find it."

Margrette immediately shut her mouth when she saw how serious Gianne is. No one after that spoken. Hinayaan na lang nila si Gianne at kalaunan ay sinamahan itong i-report ang nawawalang gamit sa 'lost and found' center ng school campus nila.

Habang pumipila sila sa cafeteria ay gumitgit bigla si Kent kay Margrette na ikina kunot ng noo nito. "Hindi ka ba nagdududa kay Gianne? I mean, ano sa tingin mo mayroon sa libro na yun na para sobrang halaga naman ata sa kanya."

Margrette just shrugged at Kent's question and diverted her attention to the menu board in front of them. "Maybe his journal. Yun ang sabi niya kanina, diba?"

"Hindi, beh. Ipa kasi pakiramdam ko 'e. Nanginginig lahat ng lamang loob ko. Hindi kaya... si Gianne ang killer?"

Napatigil si Margrette sa pagtitingintingin at kunot noong binalingan ng tingin si Kent. "Why would you say such thing, Kent? Magkakaibigan tayo nila Gianne—

"But that doesn't stop me from doubting him. I mean, nawala lang si Nhalyn, pero hindi pa rin natitigil ang imbistigasyon satin. Nhalyn now is out of the choices cause she's dead. Ibig sabihin, nasa ating anim na lang ang killer."
