I took a seat in Dr. Reigns office and glance at the walls covered in perfectly framed awards, degrees and basically everything that proves my therapist is actually educated.

"How have you been?" She asks, taking me out of my thoughts

How have I been? I don't truly know myself.

I bit my bottom lip.

Am I okay?

I stared back at Dr. Reign, who was  patiently waiting for my response.

My lip began to quiver.

"I-I thought I was-"

"I mean, I was doing okay-"

"Well at least I thought I was...and then my good for nothing Aunt pops up and-"

I closed my eyes trying to slow myself down.

"You thought you were doing okay? What changed?"

I opened eyes.

"I've been-"

Well was.

"Spending time, with Jacob-" I paused waiting for her reaction.

She raised an eyebrow, "Jacob Perez?"

I nodded.

"I felt okay with him. That dark cloud that was following me, was slowly
clearing away."

I closed my eyes trying to avoid the tears, that so desperately wanted to escape my eyes.

This is so fucked up.

                       I barely knew Jacob.

Did I like him?

Or did I simply like they way I felt when I was with him?

That's basically the same thing.

I shrugged. "I've been calling him but all my calls go straight to voicemail."

"Jacob probably just needs time. It takes him awhile to open up."

"On another note, what's the situation with your Aunt?" She grabbed her famous notebook and gave me her undivided attention.

I sighed heavily.  Where do I start?

"She is so incredibly frustrating!" I began to explain.

"She's the only family that I have left besides my grandparents and she doesn't even care."

"My parents freaking died! Her sister died, her brother-in-law died, her niece died and she could give two fucks."

I felt the tears streaming down my face. Dr.Reign offered me some tissue and I graciously took it.

"Thank you," I whispered.

"Have you expressed your feelings, towards the situation with your Aunt?" She asked.

"I've tried, but I get extremely frustrated and I usually just storm away." I explained.

"I truly believe in order for you to release the anger and resentment you have towards your Aunt, you and her need to have a serious conversation, where you express your feelings. Perhaps even here?"
