Trinity Bellwood's Park
As Carter and I slowly walked through Trinity Park, I would sometimes take a glimpse at her.
"So are you in school?" she asked.
"No." I answered.
My hands were a bit sweaty, so I whipped them on my jeans. I don't know why I'm so nervous.
"How about you?"
"I took a year off for personal reasons, but I start University soon." she explained.
"Hey want to sit?" I asked while gesturing to a near by bench.
She nodded.
We sat on the bench and she just stared at her feet. I took this as an opportunity to look at her features.
She was beautiful.
She looked up at me with her big brown eyes.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."
"Who said I was uncomfortable?" She began smiling while moving a strand of hair behind her ears.
I just stared at her.
"I should probably go." she said while standing up.
"Well it was nice talking to you Jacob." she said while sticking her hand out for me to shake.
"You too." I returned the gesture and gave her a small smile before she turned around and walked away.
"Wait!" I yelled.
She turned around. "Yeah?"
I suddenly became very nervous. "Ca-n I have your number?"
"Can I see your phone?" She asked sweetly.
I watched as she put her number in my phone.
She smiled at me as she handed it back.
"Thanks." I said
I watched as she waved goodbye.

All I could think about was Jacob! He made me so nervous. All these thoughts were going through my mind.
I took a shower, then put on a purple tank top and black shorts. I walked downstairs to my kitchen and popped some popcorn. I grabbed the bowl with the popcorn and walked to the living room and put the t.v on. I started flipping through channels unsastified with what was on, when suddenly my phone started ringing.
Phone Conversation
"Hello." I said while holding the phone to my ear.
"Hey, it's Jacob" He said through the other end.
My heart skipped a beat as I heard his voice.
"Oh h-ey" I said while squeezing my eyes shut and mentally slapping myself for stuttering.
"What's up?"
"Nothing, just thought I would call you. What are you doing?" He asked
"Just eating some popcorn." I shrugged.
"Hey, I wanted to ask you something when we were at the park."
I heard some shuffling on the other end of the phone. "What's that?"
"How long have you been going to group?" I asked.
He didn't answer for a long time.
"Jacob are you still there?"
"Sorry, I was just thinking about something. I've been going for about a month. Why?" He asked smoothly.
"I don't know...I gues-...I just wanted to know if its helped you...you know talking to people."
"I don't like people knowing my business. I'm more of a listnener."
He was silent.
I notice that he can become very distant at random moments.
"Carter?" He asked
I could sense the nervousness in his voice.
"Yes, Jacob."
"I really want to see you again. Maybe even tomorrow?" He asked.
I started smiling even though I knew he couldn't see me.
"I'd like that." I responded.
"Meet me at the Starbucks tomorrow at 11:30?" he asked shyly.
"Okay." I said silently.
"Goodnight Jacob."
"Goodnight Carter." he responded.
With that I hung up and smiled to myself.
