I was busy solving my homework when I heard a knock on my door
"I'm busy studying Olly! Come back later!" I yelled from inside completing my work
"can I- I mean can we enter?" I heard Olly say
"Since when do you knock? And I'm busy right now" I said
about 5 minutes later, the room door opened and I saw dad, olly and noah standing by the door.
Olly's eyes were full of tears, Noah looked like he cried
I felt my head beating fast, I had a truly bad feeling about this
"what happened?" I jumped out of my chair and stood up "Olly why are you crying? What happened?"
"Noah?" I turned to look at him
"Edith" dad spoke
please don't tell me what I'm thinking, please no
"What happened to gram?" I asked
"I'm sorry" dad whispered
a wave of shock hit me, and I felt my heart clench tightly making me stand in my place still

"what do you mean you're sorry?" I felt the tears filling my eyes "what do you mean dad? Noah he's lying isn't he?"
"I'm sorry" Noah said letting few tears fall
"I'm so sorry addy" Olly said taking couple steps towards me and pulling me into a hug as I let all the tears fall
"H-how could she do that?? She promised us! She promised haz- oh god haz.. oh my god. He's- god he'll be broken"
"it's okay it's okay" dad said pulling me to his chest and running his hands on my back
gram was gone, she was my best friend, the person who always cheered me up and her hugs made everything okay.
I knew one day that this day would come, we talked about once and she promised us that she'll always be here with us
