Chapter eleven: Heather's turn

Time flew by at the hotel. Heather mostly hung out with Sierra, occasionally Jo or lindsay. They'd take turns going to pick up the different eliminated contestants depending where in the world they were.

And so far Heather had been lucky enough not to have been chosen. Until one day...

"Heather"! She heard Jo shout loudly one morning.

Groaning she sat up mad that someone had woken her up. Heather wasn't exactly a morning person...

"What is it! I'm trying to get beauty sleep here"! She grumbled back.

Her door slammed open revealing Jo.

"It's your turn to pick up someone you have to go to the yukon"!

Heather glared at Jo "why me! It's freezing there"!

Jo returned the glare quickly "we've all been traveling around the globe while you've been sitting on your butt pouting about your boy toy not being here! Just go!"

Reluctantly Heather traveled to yukon. The same place she had been eliminated. It was freezing cold and she remembered the immediate relief as Lighting appeared after being out there for an hour stuck to a pole.

She trudged through the icy tundra regretting not bringing a sled or something. Then she caught sight of something a young woman had on a snowmobile.

"Hey mind if I borrow that"? She gasped realizing who it was "leshawna"!

Leshawna was just as surprised "Heather! What are you doing here"!

Heather sighed "picking up whoever's been eliminated how about you"?

Leshawna shrugged "Harold claims this is where he felt he needed to go. I think he just wants to pretend he's a Jedi".

Heather chuckled "so do you mind if I use the snowmobile"?

Leshawna shrugged "why not girl, take it".

Heather smiled genuinely at her "thanks".

It felt strange talking to leshawa in that matter after disagreeing for so long. But maybe that was a part of growing up. She gasped seeing Alejandro.

Of course he's the one Heather had to pick up. It couldn't have been that nerd boy or Sierra it had to have been him. She glared at him but all she got in response was a smile from him

"I missed you to"! He responded smiling and slowly she smiled back.

He got onto the snow mobile and together they rode back to the airport. They didn't talk much and she could feel his eyes on her. Finally an hour into the flight he spoke up

"do you think we can talk? I'm really sorry about elmating you all"...

Heather shook her head "forget it".

He sighed and glanced over at her "are we okay heather"?

She met his glance and sighed "I don't know are we Alejandro ''.

"I don't know" he mumbled, breaking their glance.

"Well what do you know"? She asked him not to take her eyes off him.

"That I love you".
