Chapter fourteen: Sky

"Can you believe we're going home"! Sierra shrieked to heather as they sat next to each other on the airplane.

After the finale all of the contests were finally allowed to see their families again. Heather was excited more than she'd been before. She would get to see Sky, her beautiful daughter and Cody the best friend she could ask for.

Part of Heather wished she hadn't done this season, part of her even wished she had stayed with Sky. But she was glad to see Alejandro again. To make amends. They arrived at the airport and Heather grinned seeing her daughter.

She ran towards Sky picking her up. "Mama"! Sky shouted with delight.

Heather couldn't believe how much her daughter had grown. She felt as though she missed part of her life.

"Heather"!

"Cody"! The two exchanged an embrace no other words needed to be said. Cody coughed seeing an approaching figure

"so sierra why don't we go get some smoothies''.

Seeing who it was Heather thanked him quietly.

"So is this sky"? Alejandro asked, looking at the young girl balanced on Heather's waist.

Heather nodded avoiding eye contact "yes" she said quietly.

"How old is she''?

"Almost 2" Heather said, stroking Skys curls.

"She looks just like you" he said smiling at the young girl. Then Heather saw a slightly older version of her sort of boyfriend appear.

"Come on al lets get going"! That's when heather realized who he was. It was jose! His older brother from that boxing episode!

"Oh who is this''? Jose said reaching down to stroke heathers hair.

Without thinking like it was a reflex she smacked him in the face.

She glared at him hard "dont touch me" she spat.

"Oh it's heather isn't it? You're the one who got my little bro almost killed right?"

Heather took a step back shocked he'd even mention that.

"I guess i'll just leave then have a fun family reunion and for the record jose or whatever your name is you're an asshole".

She walked away Sky still on her hip "mama said a bad word" sky mumbled to herself as they walked away. Heather didn't give a glance back. She wouldn't let him have the satisfaction. Sky did though she locked eyes with her father and didn't look away.
