Chapter 2.1// Avi Blackwell (1889)

A short distance from London, just beyond the fog-cloaked forests, there lies a well-kept manor house. Its resident is the head of the Blackwell family, a distinguished aristocrat. Her day..

...begins with a cup of early morning tea.

Louis,"Young mistress it's time to wake up".

The young mistress sits up, ready to face reality.

Louis,"For today's breakfast, I have prepared egg benedict. We have toast, scones and pain de champagne on the side. Which would you prefer?"

Avi rubs her eyes while letting out a puff of air through her mouth, "toast.."

Even Avi Blackwell has times in which she wouldn't want the world to see. But even if these moments were released to the world it wouldn't matter, as the only thing that does matter is her performance.

Being blessed with the title of 'Triplets of the Queen' has more complications than it seems. Despite having 2 'sisters', she has no company at all. And the young mistress seems to prefer it that way.

Louis gives the young mistress her morning cup of tea as he gets her ready for the day.

Avi,"This aroma..Ceylon tea, hm?"

Louis,"Yes, My lady. From Royal Doulton. The tea set is Wedgwood blue and gold". Louis reports as he ties Avi's bow which is soon to be undone because of the lady's constant movement.

"And the schedule for today?" Avi sighs, knowing her schedule is already full despite the sun not rising.

Louis,"Professor Moriarty, an authority in Kingcraft, will arrive shortly after breakfast, dame".

Avi watches as her butler's gloved hands move. Noticing that Louis isn't going to expire anytime soon, she sighs in relief. Looking for a worthy servant for the Blackwell Family is hard enough.

The end of Louis' mouth curves as he speaks,"And after lunch-"

"Aw brother, they got to it," says Leo, the Chef of the Blackwell family, as he examines a wire that supports the main power of the manor.

Leo,"Those damned mice."

"It's them mice again, is it?" Isla sighs. Isla, being the head maid of the Blackwell family, she is honestly tired of things going wrong when it comes to her job. She already has bad eyesight, more mistakes and problems can make it worse.

Despite being grateful for the young mistress taking her in, she wishes to get better spectacles.

Quincy,"We've got lots of them this year, don't we?"

The manor is said to be very organized and elegant despite it being built years ago. Of course, the inside of the manor is also as well-kept as the outside. But it is very difficult to keep the garden of the manor orderly.

That, Quincy has a talent for. He is an expert when it comes to these creatures that lay on land.

Leo,"I heard there's an epidemic in London..but I didn't think they'd bother coming to the city's outskirts.

Leo,"business will go bust if we keep having power shortages so often-

Leo's words get cut by Quincy's shriek. "AH!", he says as he sees a mouse running from one end of the hall to another.

Quincy,"MOUSE SPOTTED!"

The three try their best to capture the mice. The ruckus in the manor which always seemed to be so quiet continues.
