Waking the next morning after her fight with Mitchie, Lizzie looked around her cabin confused. All the beds that should contain the sleeping bodies of her friends were empty. Furrowing her brows, Lizzie shrugs before standing up from her bed, rubbing her eyes as she went into the kitchen to get ready for the day. As she walked towards the mess hall, Lizzie notices how unusually quiet it was.

Normally, campers would be spread out, Mitchie giving orders through the megaphone as they walk to the mess hall. But there were no campers running about. Walking further towards the mess hall, Lizzie pauses as she hears voices coming from the main stage area outside. She turns the corner, stopping when she notices people smiling at her as she walks by.

"All right, now let's look at the alto harmony on measure 15. There's a four-bar rest." Peggy was saying, smiling at Lizzie. "Good morning."

"Morning."

"Oh, hold on." Mitchie calls, walking away from Shane.

"What's going on?" Lizzie mumbles looking around her, pausing as she notices Mitchie walking towards her.

"You were right." Mitchie admits. "I've been hard on everyone the last couple weeks and it is about having fun too. So, we all came to an agreement about using mornings for practice and the rest of the day as fun. Nate got everybody up before dawn. He can be pretty persuasive when he wants to be."

"Morning. Sleep well?" Nate smiles, handing the blonde a cup of coffee, along with a sheet of paper. "I don't think you got the new arrangement yet. Needed a lot of work."

"You did this?"

"We all did."

"Yeah."

"I already know I'm gonna love the new set up." Lizzie mumbles, kissing Nate on the cheek. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Nate says, before climbing on stage. He turns to face the campers, projecting his voice so he can be heard. "All right, let's get started. We gotta rock this stage like we own it, right? Now, I can hear you, but I gotta see you play. I'll show you how it's done."

Nate sits behind the drums, holding his drumsticks in his hand. "Like this." Nate slams his sticks on the drums, each movement and hit precise and big.

"Excellent." Shane nods, "Jason, show them how to rock."

"Okay, guys, not like this," Jason says, making a small circle as he strums his guitar. "But like this." He does the same motion but bigger and louder.

"Good job."

Caitlyn rolls her eyes, "Well, it's easy for you guys, but we're not all rock stars."

"But you can be."

"Oh
Yeah
All right
Mm-hm-hm
Gather round, guys
It's time to start listenin'
Practice makes perfect
But perfect's not workin'
There's a lot more to music
Than knowing where
Your cue's gonna be.

"You can play
All the right notes
But that don't mean
You're moving me
But if you can jump
Like David Lee Roth
Or pump your fist
Like you're Bruce the Boss
If you got heart and soul
You can rock 'n' roll
Rock 'n' roll.

"Strum it, drum it
Slide across and run it
The stage is your home
If you learn how to own it
Like the greats did
There's no way
That you can fake it
You've gotta feel the beat
Before you can move
Even though you're not wearing
Blue suede shoes
And makin' mistakes
Well, that won't matter.

"If you can swagger
Like you're Mick Jagger
If you've got heart and soul
You can rock 'n' roll
You can rock 'n' roll
Whoo, solo
If you live and die
For the music inside
If the one-four-five
Never gets old
Then you can rock 'n' roll
Rock 'n' roll.

"All right, now, take it low
Now, I need the spotlight
To hit me right here
As the crowd starts to cheer
I need the fan to blow
Right through
My rock-star hair
Right here
If you can scream
Like Axl Rose
Or sing like Christina
Show after show
If you've got heart and soul
You can rock 'n' roll
Yeah
If you've got heart and soul
You can rock 'n' roll
You can rock 'n' roll.

"Ooh
Yeah
You can rock 'n' roll
Oh
Yeah
All right." The brothers finish singing, causing the campers to cheer and clap.

Later that day, Nate sighs as he takes a seat on a bench that faces the lake. Lizzie slowly creeps up behind him, grabbing his shoulders.

He lets out a girly scream, leans back too far which causes him to fall off the bench.

"Oh, I-- I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Lizzie asks, helping the boy up.

"What are you doing here?"

"What do you think?" Lizzie furrows her brows.

"You came to see me?"

"Good guess." Lizzie nods, smiling at him. "I actually came to tell you something." Lizzie breathes in deeply, nervous for what she is about to say. "Ok, here it goes. I like you." Lizzie breathes out. "I've liked you since last summer, but I didn't say anything in fear of rejection. But, this summer, you've been acting touchy and flirting with me, so I thought you liked me too. So, yeah. I like you, Nate."

Lizzie nervously looks up, noticing Nate's silence during her rambling.

"Cool."

Lizzie frowns. "That's it? I just spilled my heart out to you and that's all you have to say to me?

"I don't know what else I'm supposed to say."

Lizzie scoffs. "There's nothing you're supposed to say. Every day I see you looking and waving and I'm all, 'That's so sweet. I so like him.' How do I really know if I don't know anything about you? I guess I just thought you were different."

"I am different." Nate tried but Lizzie cuts him off.

"No, you're not. You're exactly like every other teenage boy in the world. Have you ever told me anything about yourself?"

Nate shakes his head.

"Oh. Oh, good. So I really know nothing about you."

"I still don't know what I'm supposed to say."

Lizzie rolls her eyes, shrugging. "I think you just did."

She walks away, leaving Nate to stare after her. She wipes her eyes, catching the tears that fell.
