💞 Harper Marie Davis 💞

I left the principal's office, feeling very cautious. I ain't tryna get my ass munched on by some man-animals.

That sounds so wrong

I went back to the sitting area where I left Jolene at to see her talking with four other people, three girls and one boy. A very dark skin girl talking to her, but it looked more like she was scolding her than just talking. That must be Adaeze, probably yelling at her for stealing her popcorn. Jolene looked up at me and waved me over to them.

"So guys, this is the new girl I was telling you about." She said pointing over to me, "Guys, this is Harper. Harper these are my acquaintances."

"This hoe really called us her acquaintances," A lightly tanned boy said, rolling his eyes in disbelief. He had an accent but I couldn't tell which one it was. He then turned to me and waved, "Hi, I'm Anthony Sanchez, nice to meet you."

"I'm Cecelia Hunter but I go by Cece" A really tall blonde girl with bright grey eyes beamed at me.

"I'm Adriana Marcos. I don't have a nickname. But my mom calls me Ana. I like cooking, gardening, and boys." A beautiful short girl with golden skin introduced herself, she had curly brown hair that was long enough to almost reach her butt. She had an accent similar to Anthony's. I thought she was done talking, but she kept rambling on, "I'm also joining choir this year because I'm a marvelous singer."

"Damn who told you that?" Anthony said, shooting Adriana a mocking look.

"My Abuela did. And she's always right." Adriana countered, folding her arms across her chest with her eyes closed and her head held high, giving her a bratty look.

"Ana," Cece started, "Your grandma is deaf."

" Yeah but-" She was cut of by the gorgeous dark skin girl who finally introduced herself.

"Hi I'm Adaeze Nwachi. My name is pronounced Ah-day-zeh. But you if that's difficult for you, you can call me Ada." She said smiling at me. She also had an accent but it was different from that of Adriana and Anthony. "There's another person that's part of this group but he's running late."

"As always." Jolene says, rolling her eyes.

"Sam is quite well known for his tardiness." Cece stated, adjusting her backpack straps, an almost blank look on her face. "He got a certificate for having the most tardy passes last year. And that idiot is probably thinking of getting that certificate again this year."

"Why did he get a certificate for being late? Wasn't he supposed to get some kind of punishment or something?" I asked, letting out a chuckle.

"I guess the staff were hella surprised as to how a student could get about 200 tardy passes and still be passing his classes. And that bitch even walked on the stage yawning with a blanket around his body." Anthony said before bursting into a fit of laughter. We were all laughing.

Sam sounds like a legend

Cece was giggling as she said, "Everyone in school calls him The sleepy cat cuz he's always sleeping. He can literally fall asleep anywhere. How he manages to pass his classes is still a mystery, because I'm sure all he does at home is just sleep."

"Okay guys this conversation is great and all, but I'm not trying to join Sam on that stage this year to receive a certificate for tardiness. It's 7:15 so we have just five minutes to get to advisory before the tardy bell rings." Adaeze said as she started heading out of the staff hallway.

"7:15?! When did the first bell ring?!?!" Anthony said, quickly gathering his things.

"Aw man. I haven't even had breakfast yet." Adriana sadly sighed.
