Thirty minutes later, I got another phone call. Today was filled with phone calls. Before I picked it up, I saw that it was from the hospital. I was scared. I didn't know if it was about Sydney or what it was about. I picked it up anyways and began talking to them.

"Hello?"

------

"Hello. Is this Michael Clifford, Sydney Martin's boyfriend?" The nurse said, and that for me even more scared.

"Yes, this is," I said shakily.

"We have some news about Sydney.." She said slowly.

"Oh.." I was completely freaked out then, "What is it?"

"Well, first of all, it's good news," She informed me.

I sighed a sigh of relief, "Thank god.. What is it?"

"Well, we haven't told Sydney yet, but she is getting better. You are in your contact list, actually you're first on the contact list, and we thought that since you're her boyfriend, it might be a lot better if it comes from you.."

"I bet it will be. Thank you so much."

"You're welcome. And she hasn't breathed normally since we found the cancer, even before that. We found that her breathing is starting to become more normal, but slowly. Also, her tumor has shrunk dramatically"

"That is amazing, and thank you again. I'll be there soon to tell her! Goodbye."

"Goodbye," she said, and I hung up. This was great! Usually nurses wouldn't do that, but this was amazing and very nice of them. Then, I got Natalie's diaper bag and grabbed Natalie before driving off to the hospital to tell Sydney.

Once I got to the hospital, I went up to Sydney's room. I walked in the room with Natalie, and Sydney's eyes widened. She had been asleep. She looked at me and said, "Babe, I told you not to bring Natalie. She'll get attached to me."

"Syd, it's okay! You're getting better!"

"No it's not okay, and I'm not getting better. Anyways, how would you know even if I was?"

"Maybe because a nurse told me," I bit my lip.

"Wait, what? What did the nurse tell you?"

I walked over to her and sat on the edge of her bed, "Your tumor shrunk dramatically. And you're starting to breathe normally, little by little. They said it's a miracle."

"Really? Oh my god.. Mikey, this is great! It's amazing!"

"I know, babe."

"But, you know, just because this is happening, doesn't mean they can't discover another tumor or realize that I'm getting worse.."

"I know," I said, not wanting to admit that I did know that.

"Please, babe, just don't get too excited when they tell you stuff like that. And don't get too sad when they tell you other things, bad things, okay?"

"Okay."

"Cause, Mikey, I'm still really sick."

That was the one thing I didn't want to hear.
