Team Minato's Addition {7}

IMPORTANT A/N: Let's just note that I struggle so FKING bad with the naruto timeline. So please, I know that this shit is messed up. It doesn't directly follow the timeline but everything revolves around it.

                                 *11 years old*

Your feet are giddily bouncing up and down as you approach the gates of the Leaf Village. It's been over two years and you're finally going home. And you're more excited than anything.

But what makes you start bawling of happiness is when you see a familiar face waiting for you at the gates.

"HIKARU!" You exclaim and start sprinting, leaving Jiraiya behind you and allowing your legs to carry you to the person you missed so much.

"Y/N!" He bends down and watches as you bolt toward him, opening his arms.

A heavy oomf leaves his chest when you ram into it, whipping your arms around his neck and squeezing him as tight as you can. Your legs subconsciously circle his waist and you smile into his shoulder.

When you're finally reconnected with him, you feel so happy that you're going to explode. He was the one person you missed more than anything, even your own mother.

You see, you were gone much longer than was planned. The Third Shinobi War broke out and you got caught up doing other tasks with Jiraiya and you even met Tsunade, who just adored you from the start. This led to gaining much more experience and even being taught a summoning technique.

You also made a few friends that Jiraiya ended up training for a bit. Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan.

Although you and Nagato weren't exactly ones to get along. He was just much too emo looking and kind of scared you. And although the three were also five years older than you— you were sometimes able to overpower them if not be on the same level.

All the while you never awoke Akira again— not letting anyone find out just what is hidden inside of you.

Hikaru stands up with you in his arms and watches as Jiraiya approaches. "We went through everything- chakra, jutsu, and who she is." His teacher tells him. Hikaru nods and smiles, feeling proud of what you were to accomplish and the fact that it wasn't all for nothing. "Thank you."
