He didn't know when, but there had
come a point when the 2
silently agreed that some things
just didn't need to be said.

Saying that they have a
'telepathic' bond would be a
stretch. To others, it seemed that
way but they knew each other
well enough to know what the
other was thinking.

Sometimes, they'd share a glance
and snicker over god knows what.
It would piss off the
people around them.
They'd ask,
"What're you laughing at?"
The 2 look at each other again
and stifle a laugh,
"Ah, nothing nothing"
She'd wave her hand in dismissal.

They understood each other
in a way that no one else could.
They saw each others hell, their
highs and lows. They were together
through it all.

Every now and then, Kageyama
would get into a crabby mood.
During those times, she would
narrow down her causes for his mood.

She knew that when he avoided her
eyes, it was because he hurt
someone unintentionally.
Her solution: He talk it out
with her and they try to
fix it before it can happen again.
He'd often complain and say the
practicing was tedious and useless,
but she made him do it anyway.
Whether he knew it or not, their
little "tedious" practices did work
and she was proud of the results,
even if he couldn't see them.

She knew that when his shoulders
were slumped and he looked like
he had been dragged through the mud,
he was mourning. She understood
that it's something that never goes away.
Her solution: Every time she would
squeeze his shoulder and say,
"If you need anything, please
let me know". Sometimes, rarely, he'd
hold her back and allow her to stay.
She'd rest her head on his shoulder
and wait for him to say something.
Her solution to this one took a long time
to formulate. She learned through
trial and error, what to do and
what not to do while he was mourning.
This is what worked best, giving him
space.

There were times that he'd get
frustrated over the tiniest things
(this was a new one),
Her solution: Make him boil it down
to one person or incident.
Most of the time, Hinata is what
caused his frustration. She would
laugh because she knew it would
make him feel better.
Other times, the cause of his
frustration was due to a run in with
someone from his past or because
daichi had yelled at him
(Hinatas fault).
For this, she'd just listen and she
could tell that it was enough
because by the end, he'd be 1000x
calmer.

She was there to provide answers
when he was indecisive.
He didn't know what to eat?
She'd order for him
(he'd do the same for her).
He didn't know which painful
homework to tackle, she'd choose
the hardest one first.
"Come on, think of it
as a game! Like a really
difficult team you're going
up against" She said it in a
way that made it seem like
the advice would work.
It didnt.

But,

At the end of the day,

She knew him better than he
knew himself. He didn't
need to say anything at all
because she already
knew what he wanted or needed.

He knew her better than she knew
herself. She didn't need
to say anything at all because
he already knew what she
wanted or needed.
