'Niel...He's dating Isabela.' Michell's words kept on repeating in my head that made my chest ache.

We're mates, right? Best friends? I sniffed. Just how much do you want me to suffer? This is too much to bear....

'Harris?' I felt a hand on my head that's why I looked up but it's too dark and I can't see anything. 'Harris...please wake up.'

It's so warm. I could feel his arms around me.

'Liam?' Why is he always in my dream being so nice? When in reality....he's not.

'Harris, I'm so sorry...'

'No, it's fine..I did it-'

'I was wrong when I called you here.' He said in guilt. 'It's better for you to stay away from me...you'll be in danger if you stay.'

What?

'What do you mean?'

'Just, do what I say. I was wrong. I shouldn't have called you here. He's gonna come and you'll be in danger! You need to stay away!' He shouted, worriedly.

'W-who?'

'Just do what I say, don't come any closer.' He smiled and I stiffened. 'I want you safe.'

But...Liam...

"Are you sure he's alright? But it's been three days already." Lucas' voice echoed but I couldn't see anything but darkness.

Am I still alive? I know I stabbed myself a while ago then blacked out-

Wow, I'm so stupid...

"Carter, his hair moved! Is he awake?" Lucas asked excitedly.

Why can't I move?

"Lucas...it's just the air." Carter answered when the sound of the door reached my ear.

"Master Daniel!" Lucas panicked.

"Would you stop worrying? It's irritating." The monster said, annoyed.

Why is he here? Why does he care? If they hurt Lucas again I swear!

"He's not awake yet?" Liam's voice made my chest warm for some reason. His warm hand caressed my cheek and made me want to open my eyes so bad.

He pushed my hair away and ran his fingers on my dry lips.

"Harris....wake up."

His voice reached me and I found myself staring at his eyes in a white room soon enough. His blue eyes went wide, his hand still on my lips.

"Har-har!" Lucas cheered, then went quiet when Liam looked at him in annoyance. "I'll call the doctor." He smiled sadly at me with his eyes watering up. He's about to cry, that's why I smiled at him before he left the room.

I made him worry so badly...I feel guilty.

"Carter, let's have a talk." My eyes widened when Daniel spoke. Carter felt my uneasiness, that's why he looked at me worriedly.

"But someone needs to take care of Harri-"

"I'll stay." I stiffened when Liam responded.

No! I don't want to stay alone with him!

"Carter." Daniel eyed him and he couldn't do anything but to sigh.

'I'm sorry Harris.' He told me in telepathy and I just nodded in defeat. I almost cried when they left the room.

"Water?" Liam asked as he reached for the water bottle and I hesitantly accepted. "Are you stupid?" He pulled the chair beside me and sat on it while I drank my water.
