Izuku's POV
After talking with All Might I had a sort of determination to work harder.I asked the doctor if I could do anything to recover more quickly.
"Actually there is this rehabilitation program that might help you with your sight,"He said and I nodded.
"How effective is it?"I asked
"Well, it depends on your condition, if you show sufficient progress within a span of about a month or so I think we can infer if or when you'll get your sight back,"My heart soared hearing that a new positivity came to me."Though of course I don't want to bring your hopes up, sure there can be progress but there also can't, if there isn't any sign of progress within 3 months time then we need to start thinking about taking you out the hero course,"My hearts flight suddenly plummeted I was going to protest but then a door opened.
"Ah!Eraserhead, I was just discus-!"Before the doctor could say anything Aizawa walked toward me.
"Midoriya, I want to talk to you,"He said and I felt my head drive itself down.
"O-okay,"
"Do I have permission to let him out the hospital for a while?"He asked and I was to shocked to say anything.
"Sure but-!"Aizawa dragged me by my arm, noticeably trying to be careful.
"We'll be back,"He said before shutting the door behind us.He kept dragging me but I kept up so that I wouldn't be dragged to harshly.
"Aizawa where are you taking me?"I asked but didn't get an answer.After a moment though I got one.
"To the park, I wanted to talk away from those medical people,"He said as he dragged me out to what felt like the outdoors where the winds blasted me the winter air leaving to bring spring.He stopped us and sat me down in the shade.We sat there for a moment before Aizawa started talking.
"That rehabilitation program they want you on will be helping try to improve your sight, but there is no definite possibility it will work,"He said and I looked at him sharply.
"Then what should I do!?"I asked and Aizawa paused before answering.
"This isn't set and stone yet but I want to do extra lessons with you to get you comfortable with fighting blind."He said and I jumped up.
"When!?"I asked and I could tell he was surprised at my out burst.
"I'll be asking permission from principal Nezu but if that's approved then I'll be sorting out time for you.Though of course that'll be hard work, not to mention you'll still have to do school besides that training.Meaning most of your lunch and study breaks will be with me,"He said and I felt hope rush into me.
"Please!!I want to become number one so!!Yes!!I want to work with you Mr.Aizawa!!"I yelled a bit to loud because it seemed I was grabbing the attention of bystanders.Aizawa covered my mouth before sighing.
"I get it sit down,"He hissed and I did as I was told."Anyway I told you that this wasn't set and stone bu-!"Before he could continue a click rang out and then a lot of people came hovering over us.Reporters.They started asking questions, pushing me away from Aizawa.
"Midoriya!"He yelled out but I was drowned from his line of sight.
"Midoriya?Ah!The child who was injured!How does UA plan on fixing the problems that come to class 1-A and its students!!"One reporter asked and I heard Aizawa "tch", his patients obviously wearing thin.I was being pushed away from him quickly and I eventually got out of the horde, as I stumbled my weight pushing me down so that I was trying not to fall as I went down some type of hill.I eventually got my footing and tried walking back to Aizawa but stumbled as I walked somewhere that definitely wasn't grass.I heard laughter behind me before I was pushed.And then I felt my weight press against something that wasn't a wall.I felt my body slip.I was falling.

And then nothing.

"—RIYA!MIDORIYA!!!"I sat up quickly as I chocked on liquid.I hacked and coughed and tried to clear my lungs of what was blocking my oxygen flow.Once I was able to swallow back the air that helped me to breath.I looked around before reaching out to feel something solid I pulled my hand back quickly.
"H-hello...?"I called out before hearing a familiar voice.
"It's me...Midoriya.."I heard him say before a warmth coated my arm and I shivered as the wind blew making me realize I was wet.Water.
"Ah!Todoroki what...how...where...?"I tried to ask but only got silence before he started.
"I was walking and then I saw you...you looked lost...I was going to ask you why you were out of the hospital so soon but then you were pushed off the bridge, I helped you get out...but...Midoriya, is something wrong with your eyes you..."Before he could say anything else I hugged him.He tensed but wrapped his arms around me.
"...I...sorry...for not telling you...you should have known by now...I said as I buried my head into his chest."Could we stay like this before I tell you...?"I asked and thankfully he approved and after a moment I whispered out loud enough for him to hear." I'm blind..."I said and I could tell he heard because he loosened his hold so he could look at me and I pulled away so that he could look into my eyes.I could feel him tense before he hugged me.I gasped before I felt his touch tighten.
"I-I'm sorry...this is...this is my fault....you protected me and now...."He started but I just hugged him harder.
"Don't say that...I don't regret protecting you Todoroki!No matter the consequence I would have done it a million times over!!!!"I yelled.I let my words sink in as Todoroki's warmth coated me.We stayed there for what felt like forever.

What I wish could have been forever.

But the moment ran dry and Todoroki pulled away.
"How did you leave the hospital..?"He asked and I realized quickly that I hadn't heard from Aizawa after losing him, I sighed as the cold rested on me.Todoroki must have noticed my drop in temperature because I was wrapped in something warm and then heat radiated off of Todoroki.I let the heat hug me as I leaned my head against Todoroki.
He must be using his fire....so warm

"Aizawa brought me here...we were talking...he...was talking about how he could train me to fight while being blind...."I said in an almost dreamy voice like I was hypnotized.I felt a different heat wash over me and my breathing deepened.I felt my arms wrap around Todoroki.
"Midoriya..?"I heard him ask and I hummed slowly.I felt warmth touch my forehead."Ah!Your burning up!!"I heard him say but I couldn't help but press myself against his warmth and fall in to a deep sleep.

Todoroki's POV

"Midoriya!?Midoriya!?"I yelled but I could already tell he was unconscious.I sighed as I kept my fire quirk going warming him and in the process drying his no longer soaking clothes.His body felt frail and delicate.I felt my arm uncontrollably wrapping itself around his lower back as his body leaned on me further.I heard footsteps running toward us.I looked over to the sound to see Aizawa he was panting and it took a moment before he talked.He looked toward us and his face stayed in its tired state as he digested the sight in front of him.
"W-what happened?"He asked still trying to catch his breath.
"...That's a long story..."I said with a sigh.Aizawa groaned.
"How long has he been like this?"Aizawa asked.
"He just fell asleep but if you mean when he fell into the river then just a couple minutes ago, and by the way if you we're together how did you lose sight of him?"I asked a bit more venomous then I meant for it.
"That's a good question...reporters..."Aizawa answered back with a groan.
"That's how, so he lost track of you while the reporters horde you with question I'm guessing regarding Midoriya's condition and then he was accidentally pushed into the river."I said replaying it in my head.
"Correct....but how did you know he fell in?"Aizawa asked
"I saw him...I was on my way to visit my mother but then I saw him out the hospital and it seemed that he was lost so..."I said but trailed off as I felt Midoriya's arms tighten around me.I felt heat rise in my face as I covered my mouth."He's really clingy..."I whispered, but it seemed to catch Aizawa's attention.
"He's been having a rough time hearing the news of his condition but after talking with All Might he seemed to gain a spark...I think talking with you also has helped him..."He said and I felt my eyes widen and a feeling bubble up in my chest.
"He wouldn't have been hurt like this if it wasn't for me..."I said and the feeling that's been bubbling in me burst.
"Does he feel like it's your fault though?"Aizawa asked as he looked around in case of reporters.
"He told me he doesn't but..."
"Then it isn't...he did it of his own accord..."Aizawa said as he stepped closer."Now it's up to you, do you want to be someone who stands by while he struggles with this new life or do you want to help him along the way,"Aizawa asked and I felt my eyes widen.
"Can I...really be by his side...?"I asked more to myself then Aizawa.

Could it be a possibility to....

...shine as brightly as he does...?

"You can be his helper...."Aizawa said and I tilted my head at that.
"Helper?"I asked in confusion

"Basically you are in charge of seeing to it he gets to where he needs to be and does so successfully....though of course this is a lot of responsibility and you would need to ask permission from both him and his mother,"Aizawa explained
"Okay....I'll do it but first....we should get him out of here, he's catching a fever..."I said looking back at Midoriya who's face got redder and more flushed as his body curled up more against my leg.
"Yes....we'll be taking him to his home,"Aizawa said which got me confused.
"Why not the hospital?"I asked
"Nope, his mother has been worried sick and warned that she'd sue the hospital if she didn't get him back home by tonight, I came here to give them the message while also delivering him home,"Aizawa explained which made me curious of Midoriya's mother.

I wonder....Who is the women who Midoriya calls mother...

"If your interested Todoroki, you can come with us,"Aizawa said as he put Midoriya in a black car with a blanket wrapping him.I almost eagerly nodded my acceptance."Ah!What about your mother though?"He asked and I thought for a moment.
"I'll send her a letter today instead, I'll tell her I have to take care of a friend,"I said and Aizawa shrugged before opening the car door for me.
"Let's get going then,"
