~To The Story~

You finally got back from Okinawa. You arrived back in Tokyo around noon like everyone else. The trip back was pretty long. What kept you distracted was talking to your friends, mainly Nakamura and Kayano. You didn't exchange any conversation with Karma. The two of you didn't bring up the subject of what happened last night to anyone, but that doesn't mean it hasn't left yours, or his thoughts.

When you arrived in Tokyo, the first thing you did was head home.

You arrived at your house, wearing your P.E uniform and holding the bag that you used for the trip to the island. The first thing you did was head to your room, closed the door, put your stuff away, and as you were putting your clothes away in the dirty hamper your eyes wandered to your billboard where you kept all your pictures.

You walked over to it, pulled out the picture of you and Asano and ripped it in half, then ripped it again and again until the picture was in tiny pieces. Once you were done, you threw it away without any regrets as you watched the last piece of the picture fall into the trash.

'Okay, now I have to go see Asano.'

You were going to tell Asano that you don't have any feelings for him and that you didn't want to be his girlfriend. You didn't want to break things off over the phone as he did. As you left your room, you heard voices in your parent's room.

'Mom? Dad?' You questioned. Letting your curiosity get the better of you, you walked towards your parent's door. The door was semi-opened, you poked your head in and saw your dad talking to your mom while she was on the bed, with a white bandage around her arm and hanging around her shoulder.

"Mom?! What happened to you?" You panicked as you ran into the room and rushed by her side at her bed next to her.

"(Y/n), what did I say about knocking." Was the first thing your mom said to you.

"S-sorry..." You murmured sheepishly. "Um... what happened to your arm?"

"It's nothing serious. She just dislocated her shoulder. She'll be better by the end of the summer." Your dad reassured you, you noticed your dad wearing his white coat they use at the hospital.

"Eh? How did you break it?" You asked.

"I slipped while painting the basement this morning." Your mother replied.

"Oh," you said in an understanding tone.

"Ryo, can I at least finish painting the basement?" Your mom asked your dad, she seems to be holding back some frustration.

"Emi, please, for once just relax for now in bed," was your dad's reply.

"I'm not leaving the basement unfinished, Ryo."

You know your mother was never the type to slack around, she's the kind of person who moves around a lot.

"Yes, you can." Your dad argued.

"Then why don't you finish it, you're never home so do something."

"Um...mom..." You felt small.

"I do!"

'Please don't fight in front of me.' You plead in your mind, wanting to cover your ears, but you wanted to break up the fight.

"Uh-! M-mom, dad is right," you interrupted them. "Just relax, I'll finish painting the basement, and I'll even water your garden for you and do extra work around the house. I am on summer vacation after all." You reassured her.

"There, you have (y/n) to help you out." Said your dad.

Your mom seemed reluctant and glanced at you, you send her an awkward smile "...Fine..."
