Forgiveness (Part 2)

~To The Story~

You finished explaining everything to Karma. After the last sentence, you went completely silent, expecting him to say 'no' into seeing Asano. But after more than a second has gone by, Karma didn't utter a single word.

You sat still on the ground, hugging your knees as you waited for Karma to say something. Your boyfriend was sitting next to you, the two of you facing the old pool Koro-sensei build for the classroom many months back. Now the pool isn't being used at all.

You didn't like how quiet Karma was. He didn't seem mad, but then again, if he was feeling said emotion he would have most likely concealed it unless you somehow pushed past his limits. Which you won't.

"I know you don't want me to talk to him... but..."

"Hm?" Karma's eyes fell on you for the first time since your one-sided conversation began. "Who says I didn't?"

"Well, you never seem to be too happy whenever I'm going to speak to Asano." You replied meekly.

Karma rubbed the back of his head. "No, I don't. Although, whether I like it or not, Asano is someone you care about, so I know you secretly want to make things right with him, right?"

"...Hm, maybe?" You replied lamely. "I won't go if this upsets you. I don't want to bring up our past arguments, but you got mad when I said I wanted to go and make things right with him."

When saying it out loud, Karma found himself feeling embarrassed about his past behaviour. He wasn't gonna lie nor try to justify himself.

"Yeah, Sorry. I was mad. I don't think it comes as a surprise that I was jealous and being possessive whenever it comes to your fiance."

"There is no reason for you to be jealous, you know the one I like is you." You took his hand. In response to that gesture, Karma accepted your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours.

"I know how you feel about me." He kissed the back of your hand, sending you a faint smile. That smile alone can make your heart race. "...Especially after what we did on my birthd--"

"Akabane! You idiot!" You fumed, cheeks as red as Karma's scarlet locks. While Karma wholeheartedly laughed at your expression, you groaned in annoyance that he ruined the small romantic moment between the two of you.

You patted your red cheeks. "Look," you cleared your throat, trying to regain your composure and wanting to change the subject. "I just want to know what he has to say. I'm still unsure whether or not I should forgive him."

"Mh, well, no one is saying you have to forgive him on the spot."

"...You're being awfully supportive about this."

"Shouldn't I be?"

"Last time you got upset when I told you I wanted to go make things right with Asano, you lost your temper."

"You do realize he likes you right? Any guy would get jealous if their girl wants to make up with the guy that's crushing on them."

"Yeah, I know he likes me."

"Huh?"

"He accidentally told me." You huffed out some warm air into your cold hands.

"Accidentally?" Karma held in a laugh.

"Don't laugh, your confession wasn't anything to brag about either!" You huffed. That's right, in the first semester, Karma's confession was simple and he was even going to leave with that if you haven't stopped him.
