Who Is Lulu?

~To The Story~

A black car drove down a long quiet street, and in the car were two people. A man and a woman. The two didn't say anything to each other, and the tension was light despite the silence. The man was the one driving the vehicle, keeping his eyes on the road. While the woman next to him sat at the passenger seat, looking out through the window. She was a woman who appeared to be around her mid-thirties. She had long curly black hair, sad forest green eyes, her face was very pretty, with the perfect mascara, and ruby red lips.

Between the two of them, it looked like the lady had a lot going through her mind.

"I can't believe after all these years you want to see their home." Said the man, breaking the silence. He kept his eyes on the road, he appeared to be around in his fifties, wearing a duffel brown coat.

The woman next to him didn't even glance at him, she kept her gaze out the window.

"I knew I would eventually have to." She said, her voice swayed calmly. The man next to her took a glance at her. "I know I'll be able to handle it. Besides, I know she would have wanted me to. Not one day say goes by without me thinking about them, their happy smile, that little girl hugs."

The man listens but still kept his eyes on the road. 'She's talking as if she's the only person here.' He thought.

The car was starting to slow down, as it took a turn to the right, and that's when the two were greeted by a giant gate. The man put the car in park before stepping out.

"Wait here." He told her then shut the door, and walked over to the closed gate. On his way to the gate, he was going through his left pocket, a small jingling noise was heard. He eventually took out a ring of keys. He stopped just at the front of the gate and tried to find the right gate. When he did, he inserted the silver key inside the padlock. He successfully unlocked it and opened the gate.

After that, he went back to the car and continued driving. Pass the gate was a long road with tree lines at each side of the road.

"I'm surprised that you still have the key." Said the woman.

"Well, since the investigation was over for a long time, the key to this place has been in the hands of the detectives." He responded.

The woman finally looked over at him. "You really didn't have to drive me here, Adam. I could have walked." She told him.

"I would have been worried otherwise if I didn't." He reasoned as he started to slow down the car again, arriving at their destination. "We're here," Said the man, turning off the car.

The woman next to Adam was obviously really hesitant to leave the car. She had her hands on her lap, taking a slow and steady breath, wanting to prepare herself.

"Lulu," Said Adam gently, "You don't have to be here if you don't want to."

The woman name Lulu didn't look at him, instead, she closed her eyes, exhaling softly. "No, I'm already here, and you even took the time to drive me all the way here." She then finally made up her mind, and gathered all her courage, opening the passenger's car, swinging her legs off to the side of the seat, and planting her feet against the pavement. Her heels made a click sound on the ground. Lulu finally stepped out of the car and then closed the door.

She then turns to what was in front of the car. It was an enormous house that can be classified as a mansion. This mansion might look really gorgeous in some people's eyes and filled with riches. However, through Lulu's eyes, it looked lifeless and broken.

She never took her eyes off the building as she slowly took a few steps towards it. Her mouth agape, and her body almost looked like it was walking on its own. Eventually, not even five steps, she fell on her knees. Adam, who was still inside the car, saw her and grew worried so he stepped and jogged up to her. Then crouched down next to her. He saw her covering her mouth with her had, as tears fell down her face.
