~To The Story~

Your cries have eventually come to a stop.

Your clas-- former classmates have been able to lift your spirit, and make you smile once more. You felt lighter than air after opening up to everyone.

Sadly, since you were no longer an E Class student, your time on the old campus was short. Lunch was coming to an end, meaning you must return to the main building. Leaving, everyone wished you the best and promise you that the engagement rumour would be buried away.

You walked out of the old building, looking better and more refreshed. Not to mention, you felt a little hope brewing inside of you.

"(Y/n)?" You heard a familiar voice behind you.

Her voice made you stop and turn around. "Kayano-chan?" You inquired, seeing the green-haired girl.

Kayano stood there, faintly smiling at you, sheepishly scratching her cheek.

"Hi... um, listen, I'm sorry you had to experience all that..." Kayano kept smiling sympathetically. "...you know, being engaged to someone you didn't have any feelings for."

"Oh, it's fine... I should learn to not let my parents control me." You explained meekly, as Kayano walked closer to you. "And I wouldn't say the experience was a total nightmare, it just wasn't very--"

Kayano hugged you.

Confused, you didn't make any sort of reaction to her embrace. Why is she hugging you? "... Kayano-chan? Are you okay?" You slowly started to hug her back, almost robotically and patting her head.

You felt her nod her head. "I'm fine." Her voice didn't betray her words. She did sound happy, so maybe she really is fine.

Yet... why do you feel like there was something more to this hug?

With another tight squeeze, she pulled away. "Karma is still inside with Koro-sensei, right? Want me to walk you back down?"

"Oh, sure." You said, deciding to brush off her sudden gesture to hug you earlier.

The two of you simultaneously hiked down the mountain together. When chatting with Kayano, you still wondered what Koro-sensei wanted to talk with Karma about?

"No."

Koro-sensei sweatdropped at Karma's quick-flat answer.

"I didn't even finish, Karma-kun."

"Sensei," Karma began, sounding firm, pushing away his playful tone. "I'm not going to meet (y/n)'s parents. If you think that if I meet them they would immediately like me, then may I say that's pretty naive of you to think. I thought you were more sophisticated than that."

"This is why I wish you let me finish." The teacher sighed, shaking his head. "After talking to (y/n)-san last night, I now understand that her parents prioritize their name rather than their daughter's happiness for a lover. Which is why they find Asano-kun a perfect suitor for her and welcome him to the family. But why not show them that you're twice as good?"

"You want me to seek their approval?" Karma chuckled humorously. "Koro-sensei, I may come from a wealthy family, but I'm not well pampered like Asano. I crush skulls for a hobby, so please don't stereotype me."

"Please avoid saying those things in front of (y/n)-san's parents."

Karma puffed some air out in annoyance, realizing that his teacher was being serious. "Are you for real? I get the feeling you're trying to say that I have to give up my entire persona for these people."
