Rosé wiped the sweat off her forehead as she returned to the counter after serving another group of customers.
Her brown apron was tied against her waist as she wore the cafe's signature black pumps.
A white buttoned up t shirt covered her top, with the top two unbuttoned so she could breathe.
Her long blonde locks were tied up in a messy bun as a few lose strands snuck out, due to all the movement and time that passed.
She wiped her hands on the apron, before getting called back to the counter.
"Hey Rosé, my shifts over at the counter, it's time to switch" Jihyo said smiling to the taller latter as Rosé nodded.
"Okay! Have fun with table 7, it's a group of hormonal teenage boys" Rosé said tapping her shoulder before sniggering as jihyo rolled her eyes.
"Great, what an amazing way to start the next shift" she muttered as Rosé chuckled at her sarcastic remark.
Rosé began ringing customers up, as they stepped into the café, always offering her signature sweet smile, which spread like a ball of sunshine.
There weren't many customers today, being a Thursday evening, 5:30 p.m.
Her shift would end at 6:30, as she came at 4.
Going home she would probably help her dad out with the house work, before getting to her studies.
It was the usual.
Work a 2 and half hour shift and go home.
The work may have been tiring and sure it had sometimes exhausted her, but she never let it get to her.
She honestly felt contended at the end of each day about the amount of work she was able to get done.
Rosé wasn't very big on procrastination.
She liked to be productive, completely different from a few others she had known of.
Main example.
Lisa.
Sometimes it stunned her how the two were best friends.
They were very different in a lot of ways.
Sure they were a month apart on birthdays so they practically grew up being treated as twin sisters, and well they happened to act like it now as well.
Maybe it was the same hair colours or something.
She didn't know.
She leaned against the counter with her back facing it as she helped the most recent customer.
"Another plate of Rice cakes for table 9" she announced to the cooking area while sighing.
She stretched her limbs as she heard the door open once again, the bell ringing as it signalled a new presence entering the café.
She took a deep breath before turning to help the new customer.
"Hi! Welcome to Hoho's, what ma- park Jimin what the hell are you doing here" she said scowling at the boy in front of her disturbing her work.
"Hey, oh wait, can I have your number or should I call you mine?" He said playfully flirting as the girls face turned red in anger.
Chuckling he just smiled at her.
"Jimin now is not the time, I'm working and you're bothering me" she said as she wiped the counters stations in front of her.
He just took a seat on one of the bar stools nearby.
"Aw love, I really don't think I am"
He said cockily."You are, you're distracting"she said as she glared at him a second.
"From what? Sorry my rose, but I really see no customers here" The male told Rosé as he pointed it out.
She just rolled her eyes and groaned before rushing out a reply.
"Well you're disturbing my working atmosphere. That's still a type of disturbance" she said as she leaned sideways at the counter crossing her arms over her chest before giving him a pointed look.
"I could always help ease your atmosphere. Like be friendly" he said smiling as he stared right back at her dark brown eyes.
"That's not very helpful" she pointed out.
"It's still a form of helping though" he said mockingly right back at her, influencing his words with a point she made earlier about him disturbing her.
"Not an efficient one. If you really want to help, just order something and sit somewhere quietly. Why? Because the more you pay, the more the café gets, and the more I can assure my pay. Why? This cafes income determine my own, and the more you pay, the more chances I have of a raise. So if you want to help, help monetarily" she said pointing at the cash register before changing her demeanour 180 to help the newest customer.
He just watched her with a smile before shaking his head.
"Aish, if I actually flirted with another girl this much, she would have fallen" he muttered as the other customer walked away.
"You're not the love of god for everyone to fall for you" she said rolling her eyes.
"You mean Cupid?" He asked as he rested his chin on his elbow.
"No. Cupid helps others fall in love, he doesn't make people fall for him" Rosé replied as she put the money in the cash register.
"Well I'll be your Cupid, and help you fall In love with the man of your destiny, me" he said grinning at her who just rolled her own pair of eyes at the said man in response.
"Plus.." he began before she sounded a response to him.
"You already have hit me with your own arrow of love, my Cupid actions are all that's left" he said as he ran a hand through his hair, and then imitated a small arrow shooting at her.
She closed the register before letting her hands linger as she responded to him."If you were to be Cupid with your level of stupidity, it would just be ... well...
cupidity."
