Finally, I give you Chapter 4!
CHAPTER 4
We were all having breakfast when an idea popped into my head.
“Hey, Tyler?”
“Yeah?”
“I was thinking. Maybe we should try searching for the guy who took me to the hospital,” I voiced out.
“Yeah, sure. That’s a good idea. Did he leave his name?” Tyler asked me.
“Yeah. It was Cameron Price,” I said, recalling it.
“Are you sure it was Cameron Price? The Cameron fucking Price?” Tyler asks, baffled.
“Tyler, watch your language, please,” Mom said, whacking his head.
“Sorry, mom. You don’t know who he is, do you?”
“Should I?,” I asked, as I drizzled my pancake with maple syrup.
“This is why you should start reading the newspaper. The entire newspaper and not just the damn entertainment section,” Tyler scowled.
I continued to eat my breakfast. Even mom and dad seemed to have known who he is. After I’m done, I excused myself to my room where I took out my laptop to search up on Cameron.
The results were astounding. I found myself engrossed in reading his biographies online. He was the youngest person to have ever taken up the role of CEO at the age of 19. He has been managing Price Companies for four years now. He had taken Price Companies to a whole new level, expanding their horizons. All that while being only 23.
I searched for his contact details. I took a piece of paper and jot down Price Companies HQ address. I then pondered on what I could possibly give as a gift of appreciation for his generosity. What do you get a man who practically could have anything he wishes for?
I was still thinking of what to give him when Tyler walked into my room. That’s when I noticed it. I had made Tyler a leather band to tie around his wrist when he was fifteen. Tyler still wore it.
It’s been years since I made one and I figured it would be something different to give to Cameron. Something original and different.
“What are you doing?” Tyler asked.
“I just got Cameron’s office address. I want to give him a thank you gift. Do you think you could drive me there tomorrow?” I asked Tyler.
“Yeah, sure. We’ll go early in the morning to avoid the traffic,” he said.
I grinned. I then chased him out of my room and went scavenger hunting for the leather bands I used to keep to make those wrist bands. After turning my room upside down, I found my box filled with those leather bands and other things I used when I made bracelets long ago.
