CHAPTER 6

Sorry for the delay. I am sick. Here's Chapter 6! Hope you like it! Enjoy! The picture attached to this chapter is Matt Lanter who is Cameron Price in the story. :)

Th next day, I get an unexpected surprise. The door bell rings and since Mom and Dad were at work and Tyler is still staying over at Andy's house, I am forced to wake up at such an ungodly hour to answer the door. I mean, who in their right mind would ring someone's doorbell at seven in the morning?

I mutter profanities under my breath. I brush my teeth quickly and then rushed down the stairs as fast as I could with my crutches. I didn't care that I looked like a complete mess. My hair was a bird's nest on top of my head. The shirt that I borrowed (well, stole) from my brother was too big for me. I was wearing some PJ pants and my feet were clad in fuzzy socks.

I open the door, wincing at the amount of sunlight that enters the house at once. When my eyes got adjusted to the light, I focus on the face of Cameron Price who looked too well-groomed for such an early morning. He had a certain twinkle in his eye as he chuckled, eyeing me.

I mentally face-palmed myself. Great! Here I am in my most unflattering pajamas with my bed hair and fuzzy socks. And then there's Cameron who looks like he just stepped out of a high fashion magazine, standing on my front porch in a grey suit with his hair neatly combed. He held a bag in his hand.

"Hello? Charlotte," Cameron says, snapping his fingers in front of me, jolting me.

"Uh what? Sorry. I'm not quite awake yet," I say.

"I can see that," he replies, eyeing me in my pajamas. Suddenly, he clenches his jaw and his shoulders seem to tense

"Um, isn't that shirt too big to be yours?" he questions me, a solemn tone in his voice.

"Oh this? I stole it from my brother. He doesn't know it yet so you better keep my secret," I say. His shoulders relax. How odd.

He looks at me and I look at him. It's rather awkward so I decided to break the silence.

"Um, I don't mean to be rude or anything but why are you here so early in the morning?"

"Oh yeah. I brought you a gift. I owe you," he says.

"What? You don't owe me anything," I tell him.

"Here, this is for you. I hope you like it," he says as he hands me the white bag.

I take out a box and my jaw drops. I stare at him in shock. Inside the box was the latest iPhone 6.

"I can't take this," I tell him, seriously.
