"The Doomslayer? And why are you speaking in the third person?"

{My apologies, my name is VEGA, I am the AI assigned to the slayer. You could say I'm his voice and companion.}

The townsfolk had hurried along to get in their houses, cleaning up all assortments that were thrown across inside their residences. The vigilantes, now healed, were interrogating the Slayer in the town hall. Someone of such cold fury and unyielding will must be an anomaly in this world.
The group of six were trying to learn all they could from this man, but was unfruitful due to the cryptic messages that this voice was leaving.

"Where did you come from? Why are you so powerful? Are you some sort of god? Why didn't you help out earlier? What were those monsters?"

{I'm afraid we cannot answer these. However, since we intervened in the massacre-that-was-to-be, I believe it is you that should be answering some of our questions.}

The argument was deemed valid. The warriors withheld their questions and prepared for their own interrogation.
Each question that is answered, the more knowledge the Slayer gained. As of now, he is in a world where magic was power; no feat of strength or courage could trump the raw power of magic. There were some noteworthy feats, but magic usually meant power. And, unfortunately, those with a higher status in society would be prodigies in magic or nurtured well, if not both. That means that a commoner would only be able to defend themselves with their physical self unless they were already a prodigy in magic too. If one were to be abnormally strong in their magical capabilities and were basically royalty, you'd be a god.
The Slayer soon found out that the country he was in was a minority in the world. It's issues are completely ignored by neighbouring countries and the nobility are too blind or ignorant to notice anything.

And with that, he set off. He stood from his place and began to leave before being stopped.

"Hey! Where are you going? Aren't you going to report this situation to the capital?"

The Slayer turned back to see one of the mages call out to him. He responded with,

{I'm afraid this cannot be revealed to the world just yet. You will jeopardise the international stability or make fools of yourselves. This encounter must stay confidential-IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?!}

VEGA momentarily slipped into his adjusted personality and caused the vigilantes to rethink their opinion on the Slayer. And with them no longer attempting anything, the Slayer walked out with a cloak he just pulled out of his void pack.

Was that necessary?

{It was. Although you may think that it wasn't, then I'd suggest it would be better to exterminate the demons from the inside out. If this gets out to the rest of the world, chances are, demons would completely envelop them. The ones you killed earlier happened to be scouts, judging from their numbers and members. If that leader from earlier managed to make contact with one, then chances are that many other weak minded fools will have already been tempted.}

...alright, but when there are others that show up, you better not hold me back...

{Understood, Slayer.}

Now out of the village, the slayer made way to a nearby city that happened to be nicknamed: 'The Succubi's Den'. Judging from the name, there will most definitely be hormonal men and 'devilishly' stunning women, pun intended. But the Slayer wasn't growing thirsty or hungry, least not for such carnal desires in the sense most people would take it for; he was notified by Hayden that there was a significant spike in Argent energy near his location.

[Slayer, near your location is a city that has spiked in Argent energy. Check that place out before you continue on wherever else you intend to go.]
