The Slayer, now accompanied by the Amazon, had left the City of Lust and carried on wandering the foreign lands. As of now, there was no certain spikes in Argent Energy nearby, so the Slayer just walked the path and followed where it lead. Meanwhile, VEGA was in the midst of a conversation with Thessa.

{Ah, so there is a demon race that resides on this plane of existence.}

"Yup. The vast majority of them can be found to the southwest of the continent, but scriptures say they hail from a land out at sea."

{Interesting.}

VEGA absorbed everything that was being thrown at him, and immediately storing it within his archives. Thessa was more open, compared to how she was when they left and how she acted back in the city. She questioned many things about the Slayer, and received a 'need-to-know' about everything he was affiliated with.

"So let me get this straight: you're a soldier - now turned superhuman - who fought the Underworld's army for thousands of years, without rest, and found yourself having to clean up many incidents which was caused by power hungry men or creatures?"

{That pretty much sums up everything in a nutshell.}

Thessa now had a different opinion on the Slayer. Before, her thought of mankind was that they were greedy, tyrannical and lustful creatures, but now seeing the Slayer, she notices a certain air that he carries, one of ominous silence and confidentiality.
They have been walking for almost the entire day, without rest and the sun had reached dusk. Slayer was preoccupied, so VEGA asked,

"Are you tired? Do you want to set up camp here?"

To which Thessa nodded in response.
The trio found a decent area which was open and set up camp. Slayer set up a tent, Thessa tended the fire and VEGA just watched.

{You know, you could adjust the tent a tad bit more so there would be less of a chance of it collapsing in on itself.}

Thanks, but no thanks.

The sun was no longer in sight and left the warm fire as a light source, for Thessa, crackling and burning. She was feasting on a small piece of meat she had packed which resembled greatly to a kebab. It was then when she decided to prod at the Slayer some more.

"Hey, Slayer! Why do you where that armour? Do you ever take it off?"

Slayer turned to the Amazon, and paused,

{The Slayer asked whether you wanted him to unequip the Praetor Suit.}

"...sure. Why not."

To which the Slayer began to strip each piece of armour off him and chucked it into the void pack. Boots first, leggings, torso, gauntlets, pauldrons and helmet followed soon after - but he placed his helmet next to him - revealing the Slayer in a plain white shirt and cargo pants. His face was rough and wore many scars, hidden or seen, and the look in his eyes showed his ever growing fatigue but unyielding will. He looked at the Amazon, who in turn stared back at the him, taken aback at the sight, and flashed a small grin.

"What? What are you smiling about?!"

She noticed his action. It was a quick and small action, which would have been ignored by many.

{The Slayer believed that you we're expecting a more handsome man; a knight-in-shining-armour sort. Not...}

VEGA appeared as a hologram, nearby the Slayer, and spoke out the Slayer's thoughts. But the pause, left more answers unsolved. Believing that it was not her place to pry into an unwanted past, she moved on.
