...VEGA, you saw that, right.
{Yes...yes I did. Even I'm astonished and I'm supposed to be a divine creature.}
The Slayer watched in awe as he saw a fellow slayer walk out the door. He pondered on how, in the name of VEGA, the Goblin Slayer managed to get here.
{Though something bothers me...how do you know of the Goblin Slayer?}
What can I say, I'm cultured...
He followed Thessa who in turn was following Gar to an area near the back of the bar. Snuggled up in the corner was a man in a cloak covering his features, similar to how the Slayer was basically a floating robe, like Samur.
Gar sat down opposite his supposed client whilst Thessa and the Slayer stayed back.
VEGA, eavesdrop on them.
The suit beeped and booped and churned, trying ti has increase the audible range of the Slayer.
"So, is it done?"
"No! Are you insane? That man tanked an arrow to the head. I managed to get away though, but I want a raise in this stupid contract!"
"Fine...so long as he is dead."
"And one other thing, I want to know who's asking for it?"
"Why? Client confidentiality is a must for these jobs."
"I'm risking my ass just trying to kill this guy! I want his name."
"...I see no harm in this. Fine, marksman, your client is Lord Zokolyutav."
The Slayer felt Gar's jaw open up, even the slight shiver of Thessa was sensed. This Lord seemed to be suspicious, if not already corrupted.
Having what he needed, he walked of, leaving Agar and Thessa to their devices. He made way to the exit before something peculiar caught his eye.====================•=================
Red Beasts needed to be exterminated.
Willing to pay for 100 gold.
These beasts are as strong as the Dragons and even the Divines; S rank and above are advised to tread carefully!
====================•=================The Slayer saw this quest and ripped it off the board. He wandered back into the lobby and handed the paper to the woman from earlier.
"...you do realise that this is a quest reserved for top ranks and above?"
{Yes, we have taken that into account, but I can assure you, this job will be done in no time.}
"...'we'? And you aren't playing with me, are ya?"
{Sorry, I meant myself, but I'm unsure whether my companions are still willing to join me.}
The Slayer nodded towards the two approaching adventurers.
{And no, I'm not playing with you. Call me arrogant if you wish, but do not doubt my abilities.}
The Slayer proceeded to intimidate the receptionist with the clicking of his knuckles.
{This job will be done in a moment's notice.}
VEGA replied with a gleeful tone and the receptionist looked at him with unease. Reluctantly, she signed something off and asked for the party's cards.
"Gar...Thessa and...Flynn. You lot better be careful, from what I heard...even the top tiers are hesitant on taking the quest after a massacre of 3 squads of magic knights already."
The Slayer immediately left with the other two. He ushered them to a nearby alley way, which brought up a lot of speculation from them.
"Um, John-Flynn-Sir-Slayer? Where are you taking us?"
