⭐️Epilogue: Questions

It had been a week.

Bird and the other experiments were found by Laocrah Town's government thanks to the Infernos and the citizens letting them know. They'd all been sent to (more proper) hospitals further away to make sure they were okay, though some of Hunter's laboratory scientists were forced to reverse their effects or stabilize them. Hunter and the other laboratory folk who were trapped in the rubble had been arrested and taken to a prison further away, and the lab remnants in the forest were cleaned up and rid of entirely. Things went back to normal, though the Infernos and Bird sent letters to each other sometimes.

Turf Wars went back to normal, and now that Fang didn't have to feel with his stupid feelings, he could go back to being ruthless on the Infernos. The Wave Crashers at some point had actually decided to break from fighting the Infernos to go beat other turf teams, though there were only so many in Laocrah Town. Frankly, it almost felt like the Infernos were the strongest team there, even with some newer people arriving at the town to see what it had to offer. As much as they wanted to just prove their strength to others, the Wave Crashers found that it was more entertaining to fight the Infernos, even though they'd basically done nothing wrong to them from the start. Fang had no say in this, and despite his annoyance at the fact the Wave Crashers now had somewhat of a REASON to fight the Infernos, he said nothing and kept pushing himself to become stronger like he'd always been doing.

Of course, the Infernos and the Thistlins still fought back, but that was just how life resumed.

Nothing special, no different treatments.

Ryn laid on her bed at her house, thinking about the day she'd had. A normal one considering her unusual/not normal ones, not the best but not the worst. She just wished the peace around here could at least be a LITTLE consistent. Stopping villains and evildoers at random times got a little stressful, since she didn't know when they would appear or what they would do. Goodness, and to think that maybe she wouldn't have to deal with much after Misty.

Had she unknowingly started something by defeating that spirit, or had she just had a series of coincidences that clashed over and over? Ryn didn't want to think about possible upcoming threats that could happen, but yet here she was. First a whole kingdom issue and fighting a malevolent spirit, then some laboratory kid that was experimented on, who she also knew almost nothing about?! Speaking of which, that kind of raised some questions she had about Bird.

What had her life been like?

Did she use to be normal?

Was she squidnapped from her home?

Did she even have a family?

Ryn paused her thoughts as a realization hit her. She quickly say up, heart racing and breaths quickening. The thoughts were no longer about Bird, but her own person instead, as new questions started swarming her head. Did...did SHE HERSELF have a family? Where had they gone?!

Why was she here?!

There was a beat of silence before Ryn laid back down on her bed.

Well then.

She knew what her next adventure was going to be, and this time she would properly prepare for it.

And this time, it would be more than just a thunderbird.
