Barry woke up with a smile on his face as he had heard the news the of  Vanessa and Ken breaking up last week when he was strolling around the flower shop the day before, and all he could think of was that this was his moment to tell her how he felt about her, it was perfect, he could bring her some flowers and ask her out on a date.
Barry had everything planned he would bring Vanessa tulips and he was gonna bring her to an Italian restaurant where they could share pasta together, so then and there it was settled Barry was finally going to ask Vanessa out on a date. Barry started to make his way to her flower shop since he knew she would be working at this hour he then saw her exchanging cash to a customer. Barry could barely hold in his excitement. He was so happy that finally he was able to tell her how he felt about her, as Barry flew closer to the shop he noticed that Vanessa was with Ken.
Did he not hear clearly ? Why was he with her?
those were the only two questions Barry could think of, suddenly his confusion turned to angry. He could not understand what was going on.
Barry flew down to the shop, Vanessa greeted him happily "Hi Barry! How are you?"
Barry said he was fine and just went for it and asked her if she and Ken were back together.
Vanessa explained that it was just a small fight and they were back together but then she realized she had never told Barry that she and Ken broke up so how did he know? and that's exactly what she asked him.
Barry did not explain how he knew, all he did was tell her he came to tell her how he truly felt about her, and how he actually was in love with her. Vanessa gasped and she looked and at Barry and then realized what he had just said.
It wasn't the fact that Barry was a bee in love with her, a human. It was the fact the Barry thought Vanessa and Ken were through and he decided to come confess to her. She was outraged, instead of checking if she was doing alright, he came to ask her out.
Vanessa asked Barry to leave but right before he did he decided to leave the flowers he brought her on the counter, she told him to take the flowers with him and when he asked why Vanessa said because she sees enough since she works in a flower shop.
