It was finally the day of Vanessa and Ken's wedding, the wind was strong as if the world knew it was wrong. Barry was invited but he just couldn't bring himself to go, he couldn't see the woman he loved marrying someone else. Barry knew where it would be but he just couldn't, he spent the past two days laying in bed and drinking honey. Adam came to visit him since Barry's parents asked him to come and try to help Barry leave his room at least, Adam told him the truth that if he loved Vanessa he should do something about it. Barry was rejected every other time but he realized every time he told her how he felt she told him to leave without looking at him, he just wanted her to tell him to she doesn't love him while looking at him, if she could even do it. So he thought why not go? what's there to lose? he's already empty without her, he just wants to see her face at the alter, see the way she looks at ken, to see if it's in the same way she would look at Barry.

He was on his way there but just in case something went wrong he brought Adam with him. When they got the priest had just asked the people to speak now if they shouldn't be wed or forever hold their peace, Barry swooped in through the open doors with Adam behind him and he shouted for Vanessa to turn around. She did and when she realized who had screamed her name she turned back to Ken and asked the priest to continue.
Barry told him not to, he asked Vanessa to look and at and tell him that she doesn't love him. Ken told her not to. Barry waited for her to turn to him, and then she did, he saw the frown on her face and already felt the rejection eat him up inside. Vanessa locked eyes with him and smiled "i love you, Barry" she said.
He smiled and she ran to him, he gave her a kiss on the cheek and they ran out of the church together.
