Crane was still passed out leaving Fallon to her thoughts, ignoring the headache that had already come. She had committed a felony; she kidnapped the most wanted man in Gotham; the entire police force would be hunting them unless she turned him in eventually, which she was going to do but she could only think of the amount of paperwork that Gordon and Warden Sharp would have and then her mind would switch to the things that are worse than nightmares or how death would have been a better fate, that what she was left with was destroying her. It didn't matter to her anymore, she didn't feel it and if she did... she loved it. The rage and anger inside made her want to destroy others, like the good old days
"Need an Advil?"
"Shut the fuck up" she shouted
"More like a chill pill" he taunted and she walked over to him and grabbed him by the jaw roughly
"Would you like to know my secret? My greatest fear?" She coaxed as she made direct eye contact with him
"Any other day, I'd say yes but today really isn't one of those days?" Jonathan said
"And why's that?" Fallon asked with the tilt of her head. Jonathan realized as he looked at her that there was something wrong, her whole demeanour changed
"You tell me" he said and she smiled already knowing the answer
"The reason you're chained up is because you're dangerous and I assume hat you're afraid of something too. Might be a phobia of pain or of fear itself but whatever it is, I'm gonna find it and I'm gonna use it against you" Fallon said as she let go of his jaw finally
"Good luck with that" he scoffed
"What's that supposed to mean, Crane?" Fallon asked
"You didn't quite think about your time limit and options. If you go out there, you're likely to be swarmed by the GCPD with no way out. Remember even the Batman's gonna have to stop you eventually" Jonathan said and Fallon smirked
"You know, it's actually adorable that you think I'm an idiot" Fallon said and Crane scoffed
"You're not listening to me. For once, I'm actually trying to help someone" Jonathan said
"Man, I'm a gun for hire, hell, I've gotten involved with people you can only dream about. Don't you think it's a little ridiculous that you're worried about me? Didn't  you think I had a backup plan, as far as the GCPD knows you got away and Batman told me to get my revenge. It's you that should be worried, not me, not Batman and not Gotham" Fallon said and Crane scoffed at her
"Do you honestly think you can trust Batman? Fallon, you're a criminal, like it or not. It's who you are, I denied my identity for years and it got me nowhere, once I admitted it, that's what got me here, not my empty life that had me subjecting to the abuse that I was given, the real Jonathan Crane doesn't just lay down and die. I'd hope that the real you wouldn't do that either" Jonathan said
"You know if you weren't bat shit crazy, you might have made a great motivational speaker" Fallon said
"Yeah, I've been told" Jonathan said
"But you do have a point" Fallon said as she contemplated her options
"I'll bet that's the first time that sentence came out of your mouth" he muttered
"You know, growing up, homeless in the narrows was tough. There were lessons that you had to learn or you'd be dead in five minutes. Do you know what those lessons were?" Fallon asked
"I hid drugs in the Narrows, I didn't exactly live there" Jonathan said sarcastically
"The first rule is don't take shit from anyone. That rule actually applies here" Fallon said
"How does it apply here? You know what, I'm beginning to think that you actually are insane" Jonathan said
"Oh, I wasn't insane until I met you"
