Y/n's POV

We get dressed and ride to Ben's house to look at the "stuff" as Ben called it, but when I walk into his room it seems to familiar like a Hannibal Lector case with not a trace of evidence or mangled victim. It's like the boys would say scary but it's almost like déjà vu for me, I look around and see a poster of the kid Georgie the boys were talking about earlier at the barrens. I walk towards the posters not listening to anything the others were saying, I'm so shocked to the number of kids missing that I turn away walking to the door first seeing a "New Kids on the Block" poster on the back of the door and giggle while waiting for the boys to exit Ben's room. About ten minutes after looking around the room I ride my bike home with Bill, since my house is on the way to his.

"I-I saw that you were on edge today at Ben's, is e-e-everything ok?"

"Um I was just caught of guard by how familiar the crime is here to Baltimore, I mean kids going missing without a trace although in Baltimore it was adults."

Suddenly I feel a drop of water on my shoulder and then it shortly begins to poor down rain I giggle at the unexpected pouring of rain. Bill looks at me with a smile, as we reach my house the rain pours harder and harder that once we're at my house we're completely soaked. Bill waves bye and starts to peddle but I stop him.

"Bill wait, how about you come inside and warm up."

"N-no I really sh-shouldn't, I'll be fine."

He wouldn't he is already shivering because of the rain.

"It wasn't a question, come on."

Bill's POV

Y/n grabs my wrist and pulls me inside her warm house, my cold and wet clothes dripping on the welcome mat.

"Mom I'm home and I have a guest!" Y/n shouts as her mom rounds the corner.

"Oh, Y/n who's your friend?" Her mom asks kindly.

"This is Bill," Y/n says.

"Okay well Y/n you can run upstairs to change into warm clothes, I'll find something for you to wear Bill and call your mom that you'll be staying the night here." Her mom says already walking off to find something for me to wear.

"Th-thank you" I stutter.

"I'll be right back," Y/n says running up the stairs I nod and look around the home. It's cozy and has a well taken care of backyard which what looks like targets in the grass. When I hear footsteps coming towards me only to see it was her dad going to the kitchen he looks at me with and smiles with closed lips.

"Y/n speaks highly of you," her dad says.

"R-really?"

"Yep she always is in high spirits when she goes out to play with you and your friends."

"W-We r-really enjoy having her, she's r-really fun."

He chuckles, "she gets it from her mother." He picks up the drink he'd been pouring and begins to walk away. "Just if you and my daughter do get together don't change."

My jaw drops and I turn bright red he smiles and walks away once more. Y/n runs down the steps to me.

"Come upstairs my mom said the clothes are in my room so you can go get changed. I'm gonna go and pull the bikes in the garage. I nod and walk upstairs to Y/n's F/C room and see the clothes on Y/n's bed, I quickly change and notice a notebook on the floor with a bookmark in it. I know I shouldn't open it but I do and read the page whispering to my self the words.

"I danced in the dessert in the pouring rain. Drank with devil and forgot my name. Woke with somebody when the morning came, no one there to shame me for my youth 'cause I wouldn't be with you. And then I found me a lover who could play the bass. He's kinda quiet, but his body ain't. Spend the days dreaming and the nights awake. Doin' things we know we shouldn't do." I smile at the writing and close the book quickly as Y/n runs upstairs.

"Okay so your mom says that you're fine to spend the night also my mom said that we should go to sleep. So I can take the floor and you can have my bed."

"I-I can't do that, I-I'll sleep on the floor."

"No I insist."

I knew I wasn't going to win this argument so I sighed at shook my head Y/n smiles and walks over to her closet and grabs blankets and pillows. She lays them on the floor making a makeshift bed she smiles at me as I lay down on her bed under the blankets. She turns off the lights and lays down her makeshift bed.

"Goodnight Bill."

"G-Goodnight Y/n."
