Part 5 - Hogwarts Express

*time skip to the station*

As both by adoptive parents and I arrived at Kings Cross Station my nerves started to build up but I knew I would be fine when I got on the train. My mother being a witch new we had to head to station 9 to get to station 9 ¾ where the Hogwarts express would be. We made our way to the station and ran through the wall. As I saw the Hogwarts express, bright red and gold I instantly felt calm, I don't know why it just made me feel safe. As I was looking at the train, I bumped into a girl with long ginger hair and freckles that looked my age, so I assumed she was a 1st year too. "sorry" I said quickly but she gave me a warm smile that seemed to say 'it's ok' "I'm lily" she said and stuck out her hand for me to shake, I gladly took it and smiled back. "Ivy" I said slightly more calmly. I wondered why she didn't say anything about my scar but i brushed off just assuming she hadn't seen it as my hair normally covers that side of my face. We headed onto the train together waving to our parents and went our separate ways to compartments. I found and empty compartment and sat down looking out the window. I put my headphones on as the train left the station to calm my nerves. About 10 mins into the journey, I got my book out and started reading (yes I did read my book while listening to music, it helps me forget about the world and just focus on one thing) the book I was reading was called 'The slaughter of the Monarchy' one of my favorite series.

I was in my own world when the Lily tapped me on the shoulder, I looked up from my book , paused my music and took my headphones off. "can I sit here? All the other compartments are full" she asked. I nodded not quite out of my own world yet. She sat opposite me. "can you really listen to music and read a book at the same time?" she said questionably. "yeah, it helps my nerves" I responded. "OK" she said and sat back in her seat with her own book. I put my headphones back on and opened my book again.

Marauders POV

The marauders were sitting on the Hogwarts express coincidentally across from Lily and Ivy. Remus had his nose in a book as usual, Peter was looking out the window and eating Berty Botts and Sirius and James were arguing about if James should ask Lily out again. James looked over Sirius's shoulder and saw Ivy and Lily sitting in the compartment opposite. "who's that girl sitting with Evans?" James asked, Remus looked up from his book and Peter zoned back in "huh?" they both said. James pointed at the compartment opposite and Peter, Remus and Sirius looked in the direction he was pointing. "how are we supposed to know" exclaimed Peter, "we don't know everyone" added Remus. "yeah, but I know all of Evans's friends and I haven't seen her before" said James. "If you really want to know we can go ask her" said Sirius. They all stood up and headed to the girl's compartment.
