Part 11 - Quidditch

Time skip to the start of second year.

During our first year at Hogwarts the five of us had gotten really close, I had also become good friends with Lily because I have to escape the boys somehow. Sirius, Remus, Peter and James had become like brothers to me, and we had so much fun pranking almost everybody in the school during first year. Now it was time for our Second year, and we were ready.

As we stood on platform 9 ¾ waiting for the train Lily and the boys saying goodbye to their parents I realised that my adoptive parents had become distant since I started at Hogwarts, they didn't talk to me much in the Holidays when I was home and they very rarely sent me letters at school, they didn't even come to drop me off at the station they just gave me some flu powder to get there. I didn't want to think about that right now though, so I got onto the train with the 5 people who had become like family and we were headed somewhere that was like my second home.

As we entered the castle, we call home for most of the year all my worries melted away as we made our way to the great hall to welcome the new first years, scolding James for his multiple attempts to ask Lily out. During the first two terms of Second year nothing really happened other than are usual multitude of pranks, we got some detentions until 3rd term rolled around quidditch try outs were in the first few weeks of 3rd term to the five of us had been practicing nonstop for two terms. The day finally came for try outs and all five of us were excited, we walked onto the pitch together with Lily in the stands cheering for us. I was trying out for the beaters with Sirius, James was going for Seeker and Remus and Peter were going for Chasers. When the game started it was like everything was is slow motion, I saw every movement and then I saw the bludger heading for James who seemed to have spotted the snitch I flew over to James and hit the bludger seconds before it hit James, I had hit it to Sirius who then hit it towards the slithering captain standing in for the opposing teams keeper it hit the end of his broom sending him flying to the ground. I watched Peter and Remus pass the quaffle to each other keeping it from the opposing teams chasers heading for the goals, they hit it though the hoop scoring us 10 points. Then James came flying by chasing the snitch, he reached for it, but it was to far away. Then he jumped forward off his broom catching the snitch, but he was headed for the ground, I went as fast as I could grabbing his arm before he hit the ground, "is this how it's gonna be, me saving you every game?" I asked, he laughed as I pulled him up onto my broom and headed to the ground with the others. The Gryffindor captain blew the whistle signalling that the try out games were over.

We headed to the great hall for lunch with Lily talking and laughing about the try out games, Sirius teasing James about being saved by me. The list of people on the team should be in the common room after lunch so we talked and joked to make the time go faster and when the clock hit two o'clock, we all sprinted back to the common room to see if we got on the team. I got to the list first and read through it slowly just to annoy them, "The seeker for Gryffindor team is *drum roll* James Potter! "James started jumping around clearly excited, Sirius tackled him to shut him up while I read out the rest of the list. "chasers are Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew!! And finally, beaters are Sirius Black and Ivy Lopez!! we all got on the team!!!" I shouted. "We have to celebrate!" Peter said running in to his dorm and reappearing with sweets. We spent the rest of the evening in the common room eating and talking before I realised it was a full moon tonight. "shit,Moony it's a full moon tonight" we all rushed downstairs and outside because the moon would come out in about 10 mins. I grabbed a chocolate frog before we left because I was hungry. "come on Claws!" shouted Sirius I ran outside after him.We all changed in to our Animagus forms and Remus ran off into the woods before he wolfed out. Sirius explained the plan, we would find Remus and stay with him till morning hoping that he doesn't want to eat. I turned into my Animagus, a panther last watching Remus run off. Peter jumped onto my back as we ran off onto the forest to find Remus because a rat can't really keep up with a stag, a dog and a panther.
