She is the Slytherin twin of James Potter but she has made her own name as captain of the quidditch team, the best player ever, and her name? Ivy Potter. This is the story of how I came to be who I am.
Before we new it we were already halfway through the year and it was now time for everyone to head home for the Christmas holidays. As my adoptive parents were going to see their parents for Christmas I was staying at Hogwarts and as luck would have it Peter, Remus and Sirius were staying too as all their parents had plans. Most students had gone home for Christmas, so we made plans to have feasts and watch movies in the Common room. For most of the Holidays we went mad, we played hide and seek in the castle, we ran races up and down the halls, we had a disco and blasted music from the common room, and we had feasts almost every night. We would sneak down to the kitchens and make brownies and cookies and steel the sweets.
I was woken up on Christmas morning by Sirius and James dragging me out of my bed and onto the floor. "ugh, what?" I asked them tiredly. "It's Christmas dumass" Peter said from the door. I glared at him before asking "what time is it?". "uuh, its 6.30 am" James said after looking at his watch, "you lot are crazy, let me go back to bed", "nope come on" Sirius said picking me up and walking downstairs, James and Peter following behind us. I started struggling just as Sirius got to the top of the stairs and all 4 of us tumbled down the stairs in a heap. Remus, who was sat next to the fire with a book as always looked at us questioningly as we all attempted to untangle our limbs. Once we finally did, we all sat round the fire in our pyjamas passing out the presents under the tree and opening them. We all got a present from Remus's mother that she had made for us, we all love her to bits, and she had made each of us red jumpers with our initials on the front in gold thread. I also got a few sweets and another present that was a small box. As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly who it was from, it was from my older cousin, when my house blew up she was the only one who visited me in the hospital she was like a big sister to me but when I went into the system she couldn't see me. Every year at Christmas she would send me a box with little charms to add to the necklace she gave me when I first met her, I was 6 then and every year she would give me something to add to it, I thought it would stop when I went to Hogwarts, but she remembered. I opened the box and saw a tiny present charm and a wand charm, she remembered I started Hogwarts. I smiled as I took off the necklace and attached the charms, I hadn't realised the boys were watching my. "who's that from?" asked Remus, "the only person I have left" I answered in a tone so that they knew I didn't want to talk about it.
After we had eaten most of our sweets talking and laughing, we got dressed and went down to the great hall for breakfast, there was a scarce number of students still there. When we finished breakfast, we headed out to the quidditch pitch for a Christmas game. As we played and laughed, we were actually pretty good, little did we know that Professor McGonagall was watching us and realised we were actually pretty good players for first years. We finished playing our game we headed back inside and talked about trying out for the quidditch team next year, one reason was that they don't take first years that was why we would try out next year and the other reason was because we had a really good time. We all agreed and spent the rest of the day and rest of the holiday having the best time.
