Loki's forbidden love

Stick together

I made my way downstairs in the morning, not wanting to stay in that dreadfully boring room anymore. I stayed in my suit just in case something came up, I was a bit paranoid. Making my way to the fridge, I looked up at the clock in the main reception room; 5am.

I got out some peanut butter from the fridge, teeing off a sticker that said "terry's peanut butter. Don't eat!!" Oops, sorry terry but I guess this stuff happens when you rent your work place to a band of enhanced individuals on a mission.

There was a fancy coffee machine so I decided it give myself a bit of extra energy, if the all nighter didn't already do that for me. The rest of the team filtered in after about an hour, not being able to sleep much either.

"So Tony, do we have a battle plan for today?" I asked as i washed up.

"Uh no not really"

I stopped what I was doing, a faux shocked expression on my face. "Wow Tony, I'm truly shocked! That's not like you!"

He let out an audible sigh "ugh I know its just such short notice and other than the objective, we have no idea what could get thrown at us today.. we just have to get on with it. "

He was right I guess. The only things we know for sure was where the fight would be, and the objective, wand first, then the sand.

Just as I was leaving, I saw Tony flash Bucky a not-so-subtle look, and pointing to me. Bucky followed me out and we walked silently ,but not awkwardly ,  back to my room where I sat on my bed, and patted the spot next to me.

"What's up Bucky?" 

I knew this was going to be heavy, he looked serious.

"Leia I've been worried about how your going to fight today, not because of your ability because trust me your going to do amazingly there but just Loki might be difficult. Things could re-surface and it could be bad for you."

I gave him the I'm-not-that-dumb look, "by that you mean, mr stark thinks I'm going to mess up the operation and get Wanda killed." He didn't answer.

"Leia I need you to stay by my side the entire time, we need to keep you as involved as possible but as far away from Loki as possible. It wont be easy especially considering I want to rip his arms off but we have to."

I always knew he was protective but that caught me off guard. I agreed and we all got ready and left the hotel.

Getting to the place didn't take too long, we scoped out the area and took a mental note of all the entrances that Loki could come through and all the places to hide and look.

The area was kind of rustic and it was sandy with a few buildings, made of red and grey corrugated metal. There was a balcony and I know that Loki loves to make an entrance so I guess he'd come out from there.

And of course, I was right. He came out from the balcony, me tucked behind Bucky, making sure not to make direct eye contact with Loki. 'Just in case' I told myself.

The team stayed in a semi-circle formation, one team -me, buck ,tony and Steve- on one end and the other -Nat,Thor,Clint and Bruce- on the other end.
I could almost feel Loki's gaze through Buck's back.

"Well what a turn out we have here. Quite the little team you guys make, even Leia and my dearest brother look to fit in well."
He carried on talking for another minute when I tuned out to ask Bucky something.

"Buck," I whispered to him

He nodded slightly just enough so I knew he could hear me.

"Has he looked?"

Bucky gave another nonchalant nod.

"And does he have Wanda?"

I grabbed his hand and he squeezed it reassuringly. So Loki did have Wanda. The only thing left to do was fight. As things tend to go with Loki, he had a rather inhuman army at his command, little did he know, we had the US military at one press of a button.

"Loki, brother, just hand over the girl and this can all be avoided" Thor spoke up

"Ah but what of your precious ashes?" Loki retorted

"That is a quarrel between me and you brother, not them" he was bending the truth slightly.

"Ah yes. But what quarrel does an ant have with a boot?"

And with that, Loki sent out his army, surrounding us, me still keeping my eyes anywhere but his.
Of course he had to speak one last time.

" I have to say, I am slightly disappointed in your hospitality, darling"

Everyone knew he was speaking to me, Bucky's muscles tensing in rage.. 

And so the fight began.
