I am in Nippon
And I’m so far gone
I’m running through the plains
The fields and valleys that I love
And where joy never feigns.
Never is there pouring down
A dreary heavy rain,
Always is there joy today
With alcohol of grain.
Barrels upon barrels of that ever-sweet saki,
Allows me of the greatest if the eyes through which I see,
Perception that alters the constant passage of the time,
I think it’s been an hour – it’s a minute so I sigh.
The rivers are saki instead of water,
I drink it and it takes me much farther
Past the brink of which I can see,
And saki over water’s what I’d rather.
In Shinshuu Plains, it never rains
Unless she really wants it to,
The Celestial Bush – it always must
Do it what she tells you.
Magic flowers growing in the grass,
Magic does the Celestial Brush cast;
Travel – She can do it very fast
Does the numb of sake ever-last.
Susanoo does he drink so ever much,
Saki is his ultimate crutch,
He says he’ll train but drinks all of the stuff
And somehow it is just never enough.
Saki does it make him feel oh so fine,
And turns him into something very kind.
Magic powers does she have she can,
And saki helps her never give a damn.
Okami Amaterasu is her name,
To the peaceful Shinshuu Plains she came,
Create can she the purest of the rains,
Makes the world does she from wild to tame.
Curing the cherry blossom trees,
To the universe does she have her keys.
Across the universe does Amaterasu see,
Her Shinto convent to her fellow creed.
