We are in the peaceful village Kamiki
And the majestic sun has set,
We are drinking barrels of sake
So we'll never again fret.
The sake brewer Kushi
And her flowering rice fields
Produce Nippon’s best sake
In significant yields.
The firework-maker Tama
Has been smoking off his pipe,
He sends off his fireworks
To light up the clear night.
Mr. Orange, the Kamiki Village Elder,
Dances for the Great Sakura Trees,
He creates an emotional shelter
By downing jugs of sake.
Relaxing in the crab grass
As the boy plays with his dog,
They have been such great companions
As they’ve been through thick fog.
Once every hundred years
Is the Kamiki Festival held,
We have shed so many tears
And strife have we beheld.
But those days are over now,
We approach in era of peace
With the aid of the troops of Tao;
May this era never cease!
The majestic sword of lighting
That was perched on her back,
It would continue forever fighting
On the holiest of tracks.
So the night of great joy ends,
And we have many new friends
But we say “Goodnight, and have a great time;
We won’t be back again.”
We’re off to the Celestial Plains
Of a spaceship do we hold the reins
It is where majesty ne’er feigns
And where Okami always reigns.
