I am swimming down Saki River
And to a rainbow I come hither,
I paint a sun and cure the weather
As cherry blossom leaves fall like feathers.
My trusty companion Issun
Ensures they’ll be no doom
Coming my way – not today
And not even very soon.
I paint the saki with my brush,
The flavor is indeed lush;
I drag a line from the saki to my
Mouth and swallow the stuff.
The saki cures the cherry blossom,
And helps it bloom so awesome;
The saki rivers of Nippon
Help people go far gone.
The Village Elder chugs a jug
Of some “Vista of the gods”,
Until he is just enough drunk
To sing and never sob.
There goes Tama with a wood pipe
Hanging out his mouth,
It holds a dime of one herb fine
And makes his head spin ‘round.
Flowers grow at my feet as I run
Through the Shinshuu Plains,
Its Saki River gives us some
Of the best medicine for pain.
“Lightning Brew” helps Ammy’s strength not feign,
Even in the hardest of the rains,
To save Nippon her valiant soul had came
And when she left it was never the same.
