Kalypso

Prologue

Once upon a time, the world was an awful, miserable place. All the people were selfish, greedy, and mean. No one was happy.

"This is not good," Zeus, the leader of the gods, grumbled. "No one is nice to each other! They keep fighting over stupid things! We need to put a stop to this!" he stormed.

He called for Cupid's angels. Kalypso was one of them. "I will go down to Earth to bring kindness and love to the world," she offered. "Okay," said Zeus. He sent Kalypso and many other angels across the world. Kalypso landed in a small town of Greece as a little screaming one year old, though she still remembers her old self.

Many people pass by her without giving her a second glance. These people were so mean!

A little six year old girl came over to her. Kalypso could see that the hardships and cruelty of life were wearing down on her, though there was still some kindness in her heart. However, in a few years she would be as cold hearted as her fellow villagers.

She came over to Kalypso and picked her up. "Annoying baby. Shut up." Kalypso immediately stops crying. The girl, surprised, suddenly starts to feel a bit of affection for this poor baby who did what she asked, even though she's just one year old.

She runs to her mother. "Mama! I found a little baby. Can we take her in?"

"No. Absolutely not, Callidora."

"Just look at that poor face!" the girl- Callidora- pleads.

The little baby's cute face touched Callidora's mother's heart. "Alright, at least until someone else can take her in," she relents.

But no one wanted her.
