Many years pass. Kalypso is now eleven.
Despite how cruel everyone is, she has kept trying to be as nice and sweet as possible. Her new family has come to love her, and has learned from her. They are now among the nicest people in town- not that that's too nice, but it's a start.
"Go bring me some oranges from down the street!" her mother orders. (This is an improvement from before-she would just yell, "Oranges!" at her and beat her until she went, and if she comes later than after 10min she'd get punished.)
She skips down the road, greeting everyone she meets. Usually, most people smile back at her now. She knows that just a smile or a 'hello' can make someone's day. She always tries to be as cheerful as possible, even if she doesn't feel that way.
Lately it's been a lot of the time. This harsh world has taken its toll on her. All the cruelty has been beating down on her poor sweet soul. She misses the heavens, where everyone was loving and caring, and everything was fun. She doesn't know how long she can survive in this world. But she has to stay, for these people. They deserve happiness in life. So she stays strong and tries to be happy while she waits for the day she can go home.
She enters the store and picks out five nice oranges. She goes to the storekeeper.
"Hello, how are you?" she asks.
"Fine," he grunts.
"How is your wife doing?"
His wife is gravely sick. She has been for months and no one knows what is wrong.
He looks surprised that she asked. Not many people must ask him about her.
"No change," he sighs.
"I'm sorry. I hope she gets better!"
A hint of a smile appears on his face. "Thanks."
"Nothing to thank me for! Have a good day!"
She walks out feeling accomplished and proud of herself for bringing a bit of kindness into the man's life.
//ok now I really need an idea!!! It's so boring idk what to do! Please help//
