Chapter 23. New body

I was confused and asked father to explain but he told Pride to tell me everything about what happened.

~Okey. [Y/N] you are no longer human.

~Huh? How is that possible? Is this dream?

~This is reality. We transmutated all souls of these prisoners into philosopher's stone. But we also reconstructed your body. Right now you are living philosopher's stone. You can still use alchemy but without need of claping hands. You can also power up yourself by absorbing philosopher stones or human souls. You body will no longer age and it won't die until you use up all of it's power.

Pride told me and i stayed like frozen. I didn't know if i should laugh or how to react. Soon i smiled and told.

~Thank you very much. This is like dream came true!

I told with happy face and then father nodded and he took his leave.

~Well i'm going, i have some buisness.

~Uhm okey and i wanted to ask something.

~What's that?

~Do you know what's with Kimblee and Gluttony? I didn't hear about them for some time.

~Uh i don't know about Kimblee right now but now i'm going to meet Wrath and i'm meeting with Gluttony later.

Pride told and i answeared.

~Uhm okey,  Tahnks.

I told and wawed at him and then i followed father back and asked.

~Why did you did this for me?

~I'm sure there will be battle and i need you alive. Even with your skills there is possiblity of your death. And after battle even if you survived it, in your human body you would die soon and it would be waste of great talent like you. I will need you and you are loyal. Not like my son Greed whom betrayed me second time. You are better daughter for me than he is son.

When father told this i didn't know how to react so you thanked and stayed silent. Soon i was back at hideout and i saw Envy come out of his room and walk downstairs. When i saw him i wawed him and came closer to him.

~Where were you so long? What father wanted with you? Tell me everything.

~Aah calm down.

I told and both of us were on our way back to his room. I layed in bed and asked.

~How was food? Did i improve at least a little?

~Yeah it tasted much better. I liked it. And now [Y/N], will you tell me what happened?!

~Nope.

~Why not?

~Because i don't need to tell you everything i do.

~Arrrrggghhhh. You are really just pathetic stupid human!

~Now i don't want to tell you even more. But i need to correct your mistake. I'm not pathetic nor stupid nor human.

~Exactly what i told. I'm no longer human. Now i'm living philosopher's stone. I won't age, grow up and i won't die if i won't use every little bit of my power. Now i can be with you without worrying about later being old hag while you will be still young and cute. Now we are both young and cute.

Envy looked at me with wide eyes but soon his look changed. He came closer and smiled.

~Yeah it is. Now we are both monsters in the inside as well as on the outside.

~I really am happy.

Envy told and hugged me. I hugged him back and he told.

~This is like a dream. Right?

This time right after i told it it started to fade in my head.

Soon i remembered that terrible nightmare from some time ago. I kinda trembled and decided to sit back at bed. Envy looked at me and he noticed that something happened to me. He sat next to me and asked me.

~Oi [Y/N]. What's wrong with you? What happened??

~Um.. Nothing. Just remembered something.

~What is that ,,something,, that made YOU tremble? You look just like some time ago when you had that bad dream... Wait, did you remember it again? What it was about? You didn't tell me last time what it was about. Oi [Y/N]. Do you hear me?

~Uh well i don't want to talk about it. I'm okey. It's gone so don't mind it.

I told and though to myslef.

~If something like this is ever going to happen i won't let him die. I will put my life on line. I can't let him protect me at cost of his life.

I made promise to myself and Envy told me.

~As you think. But don't act so scared. I feel like it's not you at all and that ypu are some random human.

~Okey okey. Just shut up with this finally. I'm okey.

I told with self confidence and Envy smiled.

~That's [Y/N] i know and love.

I smiled at him and he gave small smile back. Both of us layed back in bed and Envy asked.

~Do you know why father changed your body and all this stuff?

~Well he told me that he will need someone as talented and as powerfull as me in the future. And if i would have limiting human body i would become useless and it would be waste of potential.

~Oh so that's why.

~Yes. And Envy i decided.

~What?

~I'm gonna tell you about that dream...

~I'm listening.

~Well at start it was about losing my family that i loved and then about me being alone and sad for long time and there was a lot of sad and deprimating stuff from my past. But then it switched to present. I met you and everyone else. I was so happy at that time but soon that changed.  My dream came to something like future. And that future was something i don't want to happen. It must never happen...

~What happened in that dream?

~You...you died.... By Mustang's hand... While protecting me.... This is something that must never happen. If i will lose you then i will probably use all my power to destroy this world and then myself. You can't die Envy. NEVER.

~Heh. I'm not dying that easily. It's true that i would protect you but i will make it in way that any of us would be in trouble. Believe in me [Y/N].

~I believe. But promise me one thing.

~What?

~You will never die on me. You will be with me forever. And we will kill everybody that will get in our way together.

~Heh. I promise. You promise me the same thing too.

~I promise Envy.

~By the way, 3rd condition was already promised.

~I know i just didn't want you to forget it.

~Heh. You are really something [Y/N].

~I know. For now let's sleep. I'm tired from this many changes.

~Yeah good idea. Tommorow it's all starting so we need to be ready.

Envy told and both of us snuggled to each other and fell asleep.
