Clay cried for a while. The crying soon making his eyes hurt and he soon fell asleep. With Patches still laying on his stomach, purring lightly. The next morning he woke up and felt the hot Florida sun beaming down on his face, Per usual. He checked his phone and saw he had a text from his mom. "Hey Clay! I'm coming over tomorrow because I haven't seen you in a while." Clay forgot how long it's been since he last saw his mom. He spent so much time thinking about what happened with his boyfriend, he hadn't thought about anyone but himself and George for the past couple of days. He replied, "Okay mom, just text me tomorrow when you leave."

"Okay sweetie, love you"

"Love you too mom"

Fuck his apartment was a mess, he hadn't cleaned in a while. "Welp, got my plans for today I guess." He said to himself and his cat that was laying on the end of his bed. He went into his kitchen and grabbed a glass of water and sat on a chair at his island. Checking his phone and seeing a text from George. "Hey Clay," the text read, why was George texting him? He hadn't heard from George in over a day or so.

"Hey George"

"What's up?"

"Oh uh, not much I guess. Just cleaning cuz my mom's coming over tomorrow. Wbu?"

"Not much really"

"That's cool"

"Hey Clay?"

"Hm?"

"You wanna play Minecraft? I know we haven't talked in a while and I miss you:

"I have to clean, I'll try and bw quick so we can play after I finish"

"Okay"

What was that? What the fuck was I thinking?  He quickly brushed the thought from his head and walked into his kitchen. He washed the dishes and wiped the counters. He cleaned his bathrooms and put some new candles on his dining table he hardly even used. Then his living room. Fixing the throw blankets on his couch and re-arranging the magazines, coastars and bowls of candy on his coffee table. He walked over to his fireplace to straighten out the photo frames on it. Pictures of him and George smiling. One of him holding George, and them watching the sunset together. When everything was simple. When he wasn't messing everything up with his feelings and probably just making George's decision between him and Colt become more and more clear. He didn't even realize he was crying until he saw a tear hit the glass of the frame he was holding. He quickly wiped his face and finished fixing the frames and straightening out the books on the bookshelf just a couple steps away from his fireplace. He then noticed his storage closet and realized he had no idea what was even in it. He opened it and quickly saw a guitar laying at the bottom. "Oh my god! My guitar from seventh grade" he quickly grabbed the instrument from the closet and sat on the couch. Strumming the metal strings and hearing the horrible, out of tune sound play from each string. "I have a tuner somewhere around here I think." He walked into his room and opened his desk drawer. Searching for a tuner until he eventually found one. He sat on his bed with the biggest smile on his face and placed the tuner onto the guitar. He tuned each string one by one, hearing them all soon turn into the beautiful pitch he remembered. He missed playing the guitar. He really did. His guitar was like his own therapy. Cheering him up whenever he needed. He used to play the guitar for hours on end every day. He strummed the strings and soon started playing some chords. A song that he oddly remembered playing from the guitar, he remembered the chords from some weird song he remembered playing all the time. And he somehow remembered the melody too. "Did I ever write like lyrics or something to this?" He asked himself laughing. He remembered telling George how he used to play the guitar. And George always begging to hear him play. Though he refused every time. "I haven't played in forever" He always responded after being begged by his boyfriend to play for him. He missed George so much. The feeling just becoming more utterly clear every second he thought about it.
