"It's okay, you'll fall for me soon enough. I can wait the while - this cat's got nine lives, after all."

Him saying this strikes a cord in my heart - one that's deep and vulnerable. Suddenly I forget how to breathe. You can't say stuff like that to me, Cat Noir. I will fall in love with you.

"Is that so?" I finally say, trying to keep my cool. "I guess we'll see about that."

Saying this only draws him closer, engulfing me in his masculine scent. His eyes glisten with curiosity.

"What are you trying to say?"

His intense stare makes me feel like I'm being backed into a corner. I gulp.

We're so close. I'm feeling things I've never felt before. I can feel my brain panicking, almost like an alarm going off inside.

And I knew why.

It wasn't that I didn't like this, no.

I did - I do. I am liking this, everything about this, actually. Too much.

"Cat Noir," I say panicking, placing a hand on his shoulder to create some space between us. "Can we get a drink? I'm getting thirsty."

He raises his chin, analyzing my face. If only I knew what thoughts were going through that head of his.

"...Sure."

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. He grabs my hand - instantly creating an electricity throughout my arm - and proceeds to lead me to the bar area, where we happen to find two empty seats. The bartender catches sight of us and heads to our side quickly.

"What can I get you two love birds?"

My eyes widen a tad as I realize we probably look like a couple. The corners of my lips can't help but turn upwards. "I'll have an ice tea, please," I say, glancing at Cat Noir. He clears his throat, but I'm unprepared for what he's about to do next.

In a super forced, low voice, he says, "I'll have what the lady is having."

I almost bust out laughing right there and then. What the heck? The look on his face makes it obvious that it's hard for him to speak that low. The bartender cocks an eyebrow, smirking lightly. He's probably wondering what's his deal, I assume.

"Oh...kay. Coming right up."

Once the bartender turns around, I can't help but chuckle to myself. I can feel Cat's glare from here.

"What?"

I look at him, trying to hold back the laughter.

"Y'know... you're so weird sometimes," I say, looking at him warmly. "In a good way."

He stares at me for a moment, then a small smile arrives on his face as he looks away. Is he blushing?

Oh god, he looks really cute when he blushes. Talk about duality.

"Here you go - two ice teas," the bartender says, still giving Cat Noir an amused look before leaving us. I take a look at the time as I take a sip from the straw. My eyelids sink at the feeling of disappointment.

"I hate to ruin the mood, but I need to be home soon."

"Awww," He lets out, his ears turning downwards. He turns his body to me as he gives me a sad look.

"I know, I don't want to leave either. But unfortunately I have school tomorrow."

I take a sip from my tea as I stare at him, the music still blaring in my eardrums. A thought pops up in my head that makes me freeze.
