Rainy day

The bright sunlight fills my vision as my eyes peak open. I blink a couple times and regain focus of the world in front of me. The sky outside is a bright blue. Birds are chirping happily in the distance.

Right. Yesterday.

Even though I feel terrible about Marinette's unrequited love, the only thing from yesterday that lingers in my mind happened after that.

I look down to my sunlight palm. The feeling of Cat Noir's gentle touch still lingers on my skin. I can remember the electricity that shot through me when our hands touched.

I don't even know what that was last night. I honestly still believe I might have dreamt it all; I do have some pretty vivid dreams.

But... If I'm not crazy and that was real...

What did that mean?

Not that I don't love myself - because confidence is key - but it's crazy to believe that Cat Noir would actually be like, interested in me or something. What if he's just naturally flirty?

I slide out of bed and walk to the corner of my room where my large, antique mirror rests.

The sight of my face reminds me of Cat's cold touch on my cheek.

Cat Noir...

I can't help but grin at myself in the mirror.

What is that boy doing to me?

Tall, charming, kind, helpful, patient...

Not to mention, incredibly hot.

If someone like that just happens to walk into my life, then who am I to shut the doors?

In the very back of my mind, a quiet thought stands out from the others - this could be the person you've been waiting for.

Wait, I can't think like that. I'll just get disappointed again, like every other time. Having high hopes has always bit me in the butt before.

But he could be.

Well...

Maybe a little hope won't kill me.

At school, class is incredibly awkward. I know everyone was cheering for Marinette and Adrien to end up together for a long time, so it seems like no one knows what to do now.

Of course, Marinette looks like she's going through it. It's evident she's been up all night.
Alya pats her shoulder supportively; the anger from yesterday is no longer present in Alya's face. Just sympathy.

Further down, Adrien looks uncomfortable. And probably a bit guilty. That's expected though.

Poor guy can't really win; he can't control how he feels, but everyone wanted them to get together and now they're disappointed.

Well, not Lila. Or Chloe.

Speaking of Chloe - Chloe looks around at us curiously, furrowing her eyebrows.
