Armin's POV
"Mikasa? How do you know my cousin?" Levi stared directly at me, as if trying to find himself an answer to his question.
"She's just a friend!" I quickly replied, sounding extremely defensive.
"Oh, so you must be that 'book boy' Mikasa had alwags blabbered about."
Book boy? Really, a book boy? I'm about to die in embarrassment.
"Oh yes, I guess?" I shove it off and focused on what Mr. Pixis was saying. Though, I still felt Levi's gaze on me. I decided to ignore it.
"Oi, I'm still talking to you, blondie," he laughed.
"Blondie?" I remarked, rolling my eyes at him.
"Deaf?" He spat back with a smug on his face.
"Did you just called me de—" I couldn't finish my sentence when the bell had suddenly rang. "Saved by the bell, huh?"
"You're the one who's saved, coconut head," he sassed which I had chosen to ignore.
I could finally escape him.
The next class was Maths. I can finally talk to Eren and Mikasa, to be specific, about Levi.
I've never really heard Mikasa talk about her cousins whenever Eren or I would ask. Maybe they weren't on good terms, or just wasn't as close.
I've become even more saddened to realizing the fact I couldn't write my notes. I started panicking in my mind, asking so many questions to myself.
What if I fail the test?
What will happen to me?
What will happen if my grades drop?
I felt my tears run down on my chin. I am nothing without my academic achievements. It is the only thing I could be proud of about myself.
As I was walking, I bumped into someone. Luckily, it was only Mikasa, with Eren behind her.
"Armin? Why are you tearing up?" Mikasa asked as worry dawned upon her.
"Oh it's nothing, and I'm not tearing okay," I nervously said. What a lie.
"Okay, if you're sure. So how's your first class?" Eren asked as he pat on my back. I ranted about how I messed up my introduction but managed to get away from the embarrassment. Eren had turned me into a laughing stock which I can't escape from, then I remembered Levi,
"Oh wait, Mikasa. I think I met your cousin. His name's Levi?"
Her eyes widened for two seconds as if she couldn't believe it. It proved to me that they weren't at all close if it meant her being shocked to know her cousin studies here.
"Yes, did you meet each other?"
Suddenly, memories of what happened awhile ago came flying back to my mind that I almost let out a chuckle.
"Well, we go to the same class." I said.
"I hope he didn't treat you shit or say something bad."
"No, seriously! He was chill and nice," I defended back. I lied about the word 'nice'. He isn't that nice, he teased me to death until the class ended. That's why I got distracted and forgot to write on my notes. I'd blame him for it.
"Good to know. We should head to our next class." We all talked and conversed heading to our next class, which is Maths.

"How about the table over there?" Eren pointed out to the table with seats beside the vending machine.
"Alri—" Mikasa had been cut off when someone jumped on her back. "Mikasa! I finally found you!"
Mikasa smiled. "Oh right, I forgot to tell you both. This is Sasha, a new friend."
"You must be Mikasa's friends, nice to meet you!" We all laughed, as the girl continued munching on her potatoes.
"Eren my man, where have you been?" A bald guy and a good looking man joined in next.
"Guus, this is Jean and Connie. I met them awhile ago! I hate Jean already." He said.
"Eren having anger issues again," Jean replied back. After their alternative snickering, Eren properly introduced the two guys, in a serious manner.
"How about you, Armin?" Mikasa asked.
"What about me?" I asked her, looking confused. "Haven't you met someone new other than my cousin?"
"Oh no, I didn't."
Cousin. When I heard the word, I remembered that guy, Levi. His piercing eyes made him stand out. His voice is to die for.
Everyone started talking about stuff. Mikasa and Sasha are talking about a project, while Eren, Jean, and Connie were conversing about where they wanna hang out once the day's over.
At some point, I felt left out. I had met no one and I didn't have any other choice but to think about Levi again.
"Left out I see," someone whispered to my ear. I almost jumped out of my seat and saw Levi chuckling.
"Oh, didn't see you there, Levi," Mikasa said.
"Well fuck, it's great to see you Miks," Levi replied.
After their conversation, Levi grabbed my wrist and we went out of the cafeteria.
"Were you really left out?"
"Yes, I am... obviously."
"Wanna hang out somewhere? You seemed out of trance and bored."
"I don't see why not?"
"Alright, follow." Levi had a smirk painted on his face, as I nervously gulped to where he was going to bring me.
