As the dust settled, there he was, the old man was on his knees, panting, bleeding, sweating. I stood there, knees shaking slightly. I willed them to stop, a Kage Killer did not shake after a battle. An ear shattering silence came across the village, nobody could speak. The crowd looked at their Kage in shock, the man that was the most powerful to them, was on his knees in front of two little girls. I threw the last shiruken, aiming right in-between his eyes. He saw it just in time and ducked down a bit. The shuriken pierced his hat and sent it fluttering off, down to the streets below.
A woman shrieked in terror, and that’s when it all began.
Like lightning ninjas were by their Kages side, helping him up, circling towards us. Screams were everywhere, babies cried, women fled, men willed themselves to stay where they were, staring at us like we were something Orochimaru had cooked up in his lab.
To be fair, we were probably worse.
“Let us fight them Hokage! We will destroy them”
Nyx and I exchanged a glance, readying to open the third gate.
“No” the Hokage panted, shaking at his knees to get up. “he stared at both me and Nyx. “What the Raikage and the Mizukage have said is true, they have the most powerful weapons on this earth…do not touch them, for fear you will be killed” he told them.
My master smiled and came up behind me, putting a hand on my shoulder. I closed the gates, wondering what tissue damage I had and when the pain would settle in. I gazed down at naruto, who was still fixed in place, staring at us, next to his team mates. Disbelief filled his eyes, with anger. He gritted his teeth.
“So glad we agree, Hokage” My master said, leading me and Nyx away “Let this be a reminder, to all of you, that the world will never be the same again, and soon…soon things are about to change”
