The interior of our rooms were simple, two beds, two dressers and two small beanbags with a bookcase in the side. It wasn’t anything special, but it was luxury compared to our own bedroom.
For the next few hours we just sat around. Nyx practicing some techniques and me telling her what to do from the books. It killed time, and plus we weren’t wasting precious time either.
“Weird that he would comment about your ring.” Nyx said, drawing out the seal again.
“Yeah.” I replied.
“Normally you keep it hidden, what’s up with today?” she asked.
“Yumi told me it’s pretty so I should show it off” I told her. “No, not there, the line comes out from the 4th one that you drew”
“Okay.” she began drawing the other line. “I don’t think this alliance with the Sound is going to last much longer”
“Why?”
“The Sound is shifty.” She replied, then sat back on her heels. “If you think about it, the alliance started about 4 or 5 months after we stopped training and started going on missions. And we had a year of full missions to get rumours spread, and everything. Then we were shown to our countries, and now 4 months later here we are in Konoha being shown to them, so technically…” she trailed off, doing the sums in her head. “The alliance has been on for about a year now, or a year and a bit.”
“Well done” I said. “Want a cookie?”
Nyx dead eyed me and went back to drawing the seal.
We sat in silence for a few minutes, when we heard some sort of footsteps on the roof of our bedroom. We glanced at each other and slowly fetched out our hidden Kunais in our training gear. The Kages had said not to show any weapons on us, because Konoha might get antsy and start bugging out.
“Naruto! We’re going to get in so much trouble! Why are you even doing this anyway?” a female voice asked.
“Because Sakura-chan! I’m going to be Hokage one day and I need to know what's what! maybe even make a future alliance” a male voice said. The footsteps continued until they reached the roof of our balcony.
“This is stupid. I don’t know why you convinced me to go along” another voice said.
“Shut up Sasuke!” the other male voice, Naruto, said.
I turned to Nyx.
“It’s the Kyuubi, The Uchia and…..i have no idea who the girl is.” Nyx whispered to me.
“Me neither. What do you think they want?” I whispered.
“I don’t know, they can’t have been sent here to kill us though, who would send kids to do an Anbu’s job?”
“true.” I said and put away my kunai, licked my fingers and put out all of the candles in our room. Nyx hid somewhere.
Suddenly there was a loud thump, and a silhouette against our balcony doors.
“Hello? Death Girls? That’s what you’re called right? Are you in there?” the voice said. He then began to open the balcony doors and step inside. “hellllooooo-“
Suddenly there was a loud crack and the figure was sent flying backwards onto the balcony.
“OUCH! WHAT THE HECK!” The boy, Naruto I presumed, said.
We stepped out onto the balcony, Nyx holding the big sealing book I had been reading earlier in her hands. The book was now slightly bent.
“Who are you?” I asked. “Why did you come into our room uninvited?”
“And you two from the roof can come down too, we're not stupid.” Nyx chipped in.
The two from the roof came down, the girl helping Naruto up, and the Uchia kid standing next to him, looking like he wanted to be anyplace than here.
“I’m sorry, Naruto has no manners and is a real pain” the girl said, as she not so discreetly punched Naruto in the side.
“Did you see how hard she hit me? She’s only a little girl!” Naruto shouted, pointing at Nyx.
“Call me little again and I’ll hit you with the whole bookcase next time” She replied.
Naruto looked a little shocked, then soon recovered.
“Anyway, my name is Uzumaki Naruto! This is Haruno Sakura, and this dull guy here is Uchia Sasuke.” Naruto said. “What’s yours, Death Girls?”
“Kurosawa Ryuu” I said.
“Elduluci Nyx.” Nyx replied.
“Wait, you’re not sisters?” Naruto said. “Then what’s all these rumours going around that you’re the children on Bijuu?” he mumbled.
“Naruto wanted to know if you wanted to come and eat some Ramen, to say welcome to Konoha” Sakura said.
“What’s ramen?” I asked.
Naruto looked like he had seen a ghost.
“You don’t know what Ramen is? Well come on then, you better find out!” he said. I looked over to Nyx, we had been told not to leave our rooms.
Nyx wasn’t budging.
“It’s the most delicious thing on this planet, travellers come far and wide just for this ramen. In fact only a few people know the recipe to this ramen because it’s so rare and delicious that if the whole world got their hands on it there would be chaos!” he said, his eyes sparkling and mouth drooling.
“That’s not true, idiot” Sasuke said.
“It is!” Naruto shouted back. Then Sakura hit him for being too loud. He turned back to us.
“So anyway, want to come?” he asked.
“I have to go somewhere, but I’ll meet up with you soon!” Sakura said as she turned and jumped off the balcony. Sasuke looked indifferent and turned, jumping off the balcony also.
“Guys! Don’t just leave me!” Naruto said, hung his head then turned back to us. “So, you coming or not, its Iruka Sensei’s treat!”
I turned back to Nyx. Her eyes were almost as sparkly as Narutos as she pictured this wonderful dish called ramen.
“Yep. Come on Ryuu” she said as she grabbed my hand, all thoughts of our orders and our special diet out of the window.
And like that, we set off after Naruto.
