"Remus, what the hell are you doing in my room?!" Virgil whisper shouted, seeing the duke in the corner, using the ebony shelf to himself stand up. "You know you really should sleep Virgil, staying up all night isn't good for you" Remus whispered, getting on his feet. "You're one to talk, aren't you awake yourself?"
"Oh relax emo, I just came to see you"
"How long have you even been in here for? Wait don't answer that, I don't want to-"
"4 hours, roughly"
Virgil, wide eyed sat on his bed, thoroughly creeped out. "What? It was be the best way to not give you a heart attack, as entertaining as it would have been" Remus sighed.
"Why are you even here?"
"Like I said- I came to see you". Virgil groaned, Remus was annoyingly vague and Virgil didn't have the sanity right now to deal with it. "Well, you've seen me, I'll see you whenever duke" Virgil snapped with his signature finger gun salute. "Wow! Sour, spice and not very nice! I'll leave, but I'm returning back later, so get some sleep" Remus teased, quietly turning off Virgil's light and walking out of his room.

Virgil, anxious about what would happen if he didn't get any sleep, not only from what Remus would do but what everyone else would do if they found out that Virgil wasn't sleeping again, got comfy and reluctantly turned off his phone and put his headphones away, slowly drifting away into a dark sleep. Silence echoed everywhere, ricocheting off of the walls. Well it did before Remus attempted to be stealthy, tripped over the coffee table and fell on the couch. However, since he was already tired, for once Remus decided to make a sensible decision and sleep on the couch, so he summoned his green blanket and he too was asleep. Now, everything was silent, no silly dukes falling over, no crying or shouting. For once, tranquility roamed throughout the mind palace.

Then morning came. First awake was Patton, he didn't know why but Patton was bounding with excitement, but there wasn't anything to be excited about was there? No birthdays or holidays, really there was no reason. But Patton didn't need a reason, he was already dressed within seconds of leaping from his bed. "Janus, wake up" Patton whispered as he gently nudged his boyfriend, but Janus was still fast asleep. "Janus?"
"..."
"Okay fine, Mr sleeper, you asked for it"
"..."
Patton opened the curtains, light flooded the room, rays of sunshine spraying a warm glow. Almost like clockwork, Janus woke up, almost blind, but awake. "Morning my special golden sunflower" Patton greeted, as his reptilian counterpart rubbed his eyes "Good morning Patton". Janus was still upset about what Roman said, but he knew he had to be the bigger person and he knew he didn't want Patton to see the part of him that kept him in the darkness for so long again. Well, being upset about the previous evening was an understatement, Janus didn't want to see that Prince's face right now. Despite this, being who he is, Janus put on a good face, for Patton.

"What should we have for breakfast? Pancakes? Waffles? Bacon? Ooooh what abou-"
"What has you so ecstatic this morning?" Janus asked as he stretched his arms and left the bed then stretching again for good measure.
"I don't know, but come oooonn!" Patton hastily replied, dragging the still half-asleep snake boy all the way to the kitchen. They decided on Waffles, and got to work. Logan would've cooked with Patton instead, but he didn't seem to be awake yet, he'd be out of his room by now if he was because he would've woken up to his alarm

Speaking of alarm-

Logan rolled onto his other side after ignoring his alarm, his eyes still closed, not that he would've been able to see much without glasses anyway. The quality of sleep he had last night was not ideal, he had that same nightmare again. But Logan never ignored his alarm, ever. He could have slept 1 hour all night and not ignored the alarm. Remus, after sneaking into Logan's room before anyone woke up, was sat on Logan's desk. He'd been waiting for Logan to wake up for an hour. And he hadn't. Yet. Remus was surprised he'd waited this long, he didn't think he'd manage much longer.

And Logan's alarm went off again, with Remus' 'help'. This time Logan seemed the more conscious, realising that he had responsibilities to get to, like breakfast for one thing! Logan put on his glasses and opened up his eyes-

"Surprise?" Remus shrugged, as Logan practically death stared him off the desk. "Remus, I know I did say you could visit, but really?" Logan yawned and got out of bed- oh no.
"I didn't think you wore your onesie unless forced" Remus teased, slightly giggling to himself. But Logan just didn't speak, instead he ushered Remus outside, "Just go wait with the others, and if you dare mention the onesie Remus, I will-"
"You think threatening me is going to stop me?" Remus mischievously said, before starting to walk to the kitchen.
Logan, at a loss, just went back inside and changed into his normal, proper attire.

Janus and Patton were about done making waffles, Remus had obviously been asked to not go near the food, so he was just sitting at the table, in silence. After what Roman told him had happened, and as much as Remus was mad at him. Janus should of known better than to push his polished buttons. Logan joined him though, apologising to Janus and Patton for not waking up on time, making them cook AGAIN. Then he turned to the oddly silent Remus next to him, "If you do not say anything about what you saw, I won't say anything about you and Roman" he whispered, loud enough for Remus to hear. "You're gonna have to try harder than that" Remus quietly retorted. Now Virgil was up too, and the moment he saw Remus, he went back into his room. Remus did say that he'd see him later, but not this early! He slept a lot more than he had in a month but even that wasn't much. He just really had to hope, which him being Anxiety was not a great solution, the duke wouldn't tell anyone that Virgil wasn't sleeping as much as he could've been, nevertheless he made his way to the kitchen.

Other than a small comment every now and again, they were mostly silent. Breakfast was made, and as always someone needed to get Roman, they couldn't decide who though. Janus and Logan were ruled out because of the previous evening, no-one but Logan believed Remus could do it without hurting him, Virgil didn't really want to see Roman right now, so Patton got up. Roman was one of his kiddos, even if he made a few mistakes, which they all did so it didn't matter. So Patton got up, walked down to Roman's door, knocking it softly. "Hey Kiddo, breakfast is ready, you coming out?" Patton asked against the closed door. He waited a minute until Roman stepped out.

And when Patton saw Roman's room, he practically collapsed in shock.
