I was awakened by loud voices that came from outside.
So that bastard didn't kill me ... What exactly is he hoping for? That I join them after they rejected me like a piece of shit?
"Mom."
A shadow came to my feet. It had to be the size of my leg. Another child from my ovaries?
I don't know. But he'll be very useful to me.
"Call Daddy." I said, straightening up.
"He's with the enemy."
I sighed. "Then help me reach him."

When your sight finally got used to the darkness, it was not another child. Blue Baby was now a Blue Devil. He was even uglier than when he was a baby. You recognized him by his extreme ugliness.

"No doubt, I'm not your mother." You mumbled following him. He carried a box in his right hand. You just hoped that he dropped it to know the contents.

••••••••••••••

Or... I take it by force?
I waited patiently for the right moment to snatch the box from his hands.
Ok. 1 ...

"By the way, Dad had a present for you when you were sleeping after giving birth to me." He said.
"Wh-" You stopped before it was too late. "You should have told me sooner, you dumbass!" You took it from his hands.
"I forgot. You know, a baby doesn't have a well-developed brain yet ..."
"But you're a vampire, idiot."
A smirk formed on his lips.
"Like mother, like son."
"Forget it, you have nothing to do with me. Neither Dio."
"Why are you shaking, mom?" He suddenly asked you.
You barely noticed that your hands were shaking and your breathing would quicken and then cut off. Starting a dynamic breathlessness to the rhythm of the sparks that danced around your fists. You were confused. You didn't want to open the box in front of this devil. Since you were very curious and you were going to be even more curious by discovering the content. You shouldn't take the risk of him pissing you off.

No questions but actions. You looked at Blue Baby with round eyes ...
"DON'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS!" You screamed, throwing the box at his filthy head. But you were pleasantly surprised to see his body spread out on the vase about twenty meters from here. You had more power, that was sure now. You went to pick up the box from the broken glass. It was open. And empty. You looked everywhere for some object that could be inside. But nothing except shards of glass.
"Shit..."
You picked up Blue Baby's body. He was motionless and totally burnt in the face. But that wasn't what alerted you.

A necklace adorned his neck, letting hang the last thing that remained to me of my beautiful human life.

Long ago, there was an earthquake in the hills of Mormont. It was a beautiful spring day when me and my brother Robin were having fun hunting falcons in archery. Dad used to shoot guns with friends of his. We were forced not to leave the security perimeter. When the ground rumbled, the trees fell like pins. Mom was shouting Daddy's name while holding Robin tightly in her arms. A crack was emerging below my feet.

I was so impressed by the force of nature... so aberrated by the weakness of humans... that I didn't dare to move a millimeter. The vacation home was threatening to give way on us.
"Come closer to us, Y/N! This is no time for daydreaming, idiot!" she cried, as my little brother held out his hand to me.

Even in moments that seemed tragic to us, she managed to put me down and unconsciously show that she'll protect her favorite little boy above all, before me. I thought it was a matter of priority, saving the boy because the man is above in the family hierarchy. But she had no idea what the consequences would be for me. And that was this day she discovered it. I stayed planted on the other side of the enclosure while waiting for the landslide.
"You won't dare do that to your mom, will you ?! Come on darling there's a place for you!" She said to me waving her arm.

I looked away to the ground behind me which was crumbling and ending up on the cliff. I heard her trembling voice telling me to grab the rope she threw vulgarly at my feet.
She stood up, Robin in her arms, and approached the crack, shaking.
"If you don't come, I'm going to grab you! Come with mom!"
Her face freaked me out, it looked like she was threatening me like I was about to do something stupid. Then his face softened.

"You have no idea how much pain you will inflict on me, you rotten-"

A rumble made us take off from the ground. I felt my organs gesticulate in my stomach and land in thousands of stones after hitting head-on against the rocky wall of the cliff.

I saw the sun setting on the horizon. I saw my body lying on the rocks. It was slightly purplish.
The most striking thing was to see my self, dead. I only wanted to go and cut this body to pieces so that it would never get up again. I picked up the sharpest stone and approached my lifeless body. And it was by gritting my teeth that I grabbed my hand. Barely touched, a hissing sound arises in my head. The shrill sound only lasted a few seconds but it felt very long to me. When I opened my eyes, I was lying down. Instead of my dead body. Nothing hurt me anymore. I felt so light and healthy ... The cool wind hit my rosy cheeks. I wanted to stay that way forever. With a calm heart and empty head. All my pain was gone. I felt tickling on the back of my neck. I thought of an insect and patted my neck to stop its paws which was ruining this beautiful moment. But fear came over me when I felt a solid lump. I got up quickly and ran into the water. I plunged my head forward and brushed my hair off my nape.

I flipped my hair back and laughed like crazy. What was this fucking weird thing?
I felt the same tickles once again. This time along my leg. I gritted my teeth and calmly looked up at the bug.
It was a black pearl. The insect was a black ball that never stopped magnetizing to my body. No matter how much I detached this funny object, it kept coming back. Another funny sea insect to discover? Yes.
I resumed myself to take the marble and decided that day to investigate it, hoping that it does not die.
I will learn later that it was not a living being or a sea monster but an object. I spent my early childhood locking myself in my room to find meaning in this stuff. And that's partly why my mother the bipolar started to be unpleasant to me again. Keeping repeating that I was useless. Until one day she confiscated this strange object that had given meaning to my life. I never saw it again and got interested in other things. This world full of secrets began to attract me. And that's how I wanted to be an archaeologist.

"I don't know why you're telling me this, but I just died. I'll tell daddy!" Blue Baby replied.
I smiled and put him down.
"Come on son. Let's find daddy. I have my second chance at a happy life in my hands." I took the black ball and hid it in my neckline. Ready to let this object decide the fate of each of us present in this castle. In a way that's healthy for my life.

In a way that's healthy for my life
